This would be the general chat. We run games in other rooms as the mood strikes, although play-by-chat is a bit awkward compared to face-to-face tabletop games.
@BESW So...seen the latest Monk question and the inevitable fallout?
I'm so very tempted to let a certain individual know that when I downvote his answers it's because they're godawful answers. I have and do upvote his good ones. Their rarity is neither my fault or responsibility.
@Lord_Gareth I've had a few Fate questions get unintentionally patronizing "you clearly don't understand, let me explain the game" answers. It's rather upsetting, but they mean well and I have to learn to respond appropriately.
"This doesn't seem to answer my question because I don't see how X and Y address Z" is constructive.
"This doesn't seem to answer my question because you're a condescending nitwit" is not.
I really don't think phrases like "normal campaigns" are any less deliberately passive-aggressive than when you tried to explain to someone that their monk-friendly campaign was not normal.
But because of the contentious history and the recent bear-baiting of your compatriot, pointing out the potential for offense is guaranteed to be taken the wrong way.
