@StéphaneGimenez @Alone-zee For "Ça, ça donne ça", is one pointing during that utterance, by any chance? :) Or how are the referents likely to be cleared up in context?
I mean, the first ça is pointing or refering to something already mentionned, the second one is dummy, and the third one is usually pointing to something new.
Okay -- so no tangling of antecedents in terms of order of appearance (which I think is the real reason sentences like the one in that question sound wrong, not just unstylistic).
