He passed from cancer shortly after I started working.
Feb 28 21:27
Yeah, we gave RD a Thunderduck logo for a while.
Feb 28 21:26
I don't think he visited here, but he was very active on RD for a couple years.
Feb 28 21:26
Yeah, Thunderframe won't be back either.
Feb 28 21:26
I'm still in contact with Mat and Vogel on the Rubberduck project. Not a lot has happened in several years, though.
Feb 28 21:25
200, Heslacher. I really liked getting a Heslacher review.
Feb 28 21:24
Simon, Kaz, 202, Marc-Andre...
Feb 28 21:24
Ethan, Phrancis...
Feb 28 21:24
Damn. We had the old gang still then.
Feb 28 21:15
Now I'm working for a book wholesaler.
Feb 28 21:15
I left company A after about 6 months of no backlog to work on, thanks largely to me clearing it (when I started, they were more than a year behind on deliveries too). Company B was consulting, and I left after a string of boring contracts.
Feb 28 21:14
I wouldn't mind having a longer job, but there's only so much you can do and keep busy.
Feb 28 21:13
@Mast That's about the time I start looking to leave. Longest I've spent in a job is 3.5 years.
Feb 28 21:13
I asked the C# design team for a challenge, and they said learn Rust for the lifetimes, then Go for a different take on the problem.
Feb 28 21:12
I keep finding Rusticles. One of my coworkers used to work in it.
Feb 28 21:11
e.g. heavy load, weight capacity, multiple elevators, UIs, etc.
Feb 28 21:11
The core of it is a pretty trivial problem, but you can put a ton of spins on it.
Feb 28 21:10
@Mast That actually looks like a fun challenge to practice Rust.
Feb 28 21:09
Working on learning Rust for a challenge. And Spanish, but that's not related to programming.
Feb 28 21:09
Still primarily a C# dev, but I've been on web most of my career. Right now I'm actually back to mainly backend instead of full-stack.
Feb 28 21:08
Long story, but I had a job as a junior, then I switched to consulting and saw a lot of things, and now I'm back full-time at one company.
Feb 28 21:07
I was in college then :)
Feb 28 21:07
Hasn't it been almost 8 years now?
Feb 28 21:07
I've been through two jobs and am on my third since I left...
Feb 28 21:07
It's sure been a while!
Feb 28 21:07
@Peilonrayz Hey, nice to see I'm remembered.
Feb 28 21:06
It sounded like it was supposed to be automated now; they said to contact them with the "Other" option if I didn't get them.
Feb 28 21:05
I did send the message. They said to expect one email per account.
Feb 28 21:05
Thanks.
Feb 28 21:05
Yep.
Feb 28 21:05
@Mast I know. It's all most confusing.
Feb 28 21:04
I think I'll just abandon this account and start with a new one.
Feb 28 21:04
Yeah, and every single time I sign in, I have to do a password reset.
Feb 28 21:04
@Mast 😂
Feb 28 18:58
@skiwi How many tabs do you have open right now?
Feb 28 18:56
The really weird thing is, it's pulling my profile pic from my old account...
Feb 28 18:56
Feb 28 18:55
Now when I try to sign in, it says there is no account with that email.
Feb 28 18:54
Can one of you mods help me out a bit? I signed in yesterday and created a question under this account: codereview.stackexchange.com/users/240781/hosch250
Feb 28 18:54
Monking, @SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ.
Feb 28 18:54
Well, a bunch of familiar names in unfamiliar colors.

Feb 28, 2020 14:01
OK, I'm heading out again. Feel free to share that with anyone.
Feb 28, 2020 14:00
I was checking on some chat channels I used to be part of. That one won't expire.

Me too. Would it make it start having false positives?
