Firefox now blocks mixed content which is a good step here.

This is totally different from what I know of Apple and Google. What this process does remind me of though is the security that apple puts in place at its manufacturing locations in china to prevent people sneaking out with a pre release iphone shell and selling it for 1 years wage.

They do not even need to place a cookie at all. They can simply use their JS to fingerprint your browser and match that with their existing fingerprints of you.

@user2357112 Thats unusual, I find that often TOTP is often the only option or always an option when SMS TFA is available. The only account I have where TOTP is not supported but SMS is is my bank account which requests that you use their app for TFA.

Yeah I tried it but lost instantly.

Thats kind of what I like about this. The 4 knobs on the op 1 make it very fun to mess around with the settings instead of having to use a mouse to adjust a knob

The sampler doesn't seem capable of high quality real instrument sounds but there is a lot else that it does well.
Jun 9, 2019 02:05
The synth engines on the OP-1 are really nice for certain kinds of sounds.
Jun 9, 2019 02:02
Yeah. I have had my eyes on it for years and finally got one.
Jun 9, 2019 01:53
It seems ok for recording since you can record the baseline separately but you obviously can't play regular songs on it
Jun 9, 2019 01:52
I got one of these recently

Would learning to play existing songs on a piano be a worthwhile effort to learn? I currently use a 2 octave keyboard but I could set up a full size one if it was worth it.

I know the basic concepts of music theory but I feel I don't know enough to actually make anything
Jun 9, 2019 01:36
@luserdroog Looking for resources to learn more past the beginners music theory books
Jun 8, 2019 23:36
Does anyone have suggestions for a website I can ask beginner music questions on? I know stack exchange tends to be for experts only.

"7 characters is pretty insecure, even when randomly generated." To be able to check billions of passwords per second you would have to have had access to the database in order to get the password hash to test against. At that point you may as well just read the data you want from the db. If the password is random it can't be used on other websites either.

@forest From what I have heard most machine learning setups will randomly make a choice it has ranked as bad because it allows it to escape a local minimum where a bad choice far back leads to a better outcome later.

Why does continued education only count if its in your own time? I do more than 20 hours of continued education a week just working my job and building new features.

Any ebook that uses such technology literally forces me to pirate the book if I want to view it. My computer runs linux and none of this DRM software lets me view content. I also have multiple devices and an ereader. This kind of software does nothing to stop people pirating content, It only makes it harder to pay for it.

Thats similar to how it works in South Australia but the 10c is included in the labeled price.

Q: How to make OpenCL work on 14.10 + Nvidia 331.89 drivers?

user105939Proprietary drivers 331.89 do not give me OpenCL. (tried both tested/updates) for a while I had version 304.123 that worked - except I wanted the current drivers, and now are unable to downgrade. Anyway - I could downgrade by workaround, but I wish 331.89 worked. I used "darktable -d opencl"...

Aug 15, 2015 02:55
Ubuntu but I just got it working
