@AmerEmad: When you unlock the wallet for 10 minutes, you set the last parameter of the walletpassphrase call to 10 or to 600?
Feb 13 04:33
Hi Amer, your screenshot shows that you successfully unlocked your wallet at 10:08:33, and then it is locked at 10:08:51. The last parameter of the walletpassphrase command specifies how long you unlock the wallet: i.sstatic.net/f3LqSt6t.png The example in the help text above suggests setting 60 seconds. Is it possible that you unlocked the wallet for less than 18 seconds?

@RaghavSood Yeah, that’s fair
Jun 14, 2024 12:24
@RaghavSood Maybe/hopefully some secondlayer thing?
Jun 14, 2024 12:24
@RaghavSood I’m secondguessing whether I should have ever made that dashboard to keep track of that activity or whether paying even less attention would have been better ;)
Jun 14, 2024 12:22
The grey transactions all have Runes outputs
Jun 14, 2024 12:21
Yeah, we have been getting a ton of new nulldata outputs recently, too
Jun 14, 2024 12:20
I see
Jun 14, 2024 12:18
Jun 14, 2024 12:18
On the opreturns page I got:
Jun 14, 2024 12:17
@RaghavSood Yeah, that’s what I think, too
Jun 14, 2024 12:16
"Due to a bug in the original implementation of Bitcoin, the genesis block output was never added to the UTXO set and was unspendable." Or on purpose, we will probably never know
Jun 14, 2024 12:14
Oh, nevermind, this is actual Satoshi spends, not the million coins ^^
Jun 14, 2024 12:14
The Patoshi pattern is just Sergio’s conjecture
Jun 14, 2024 12:13
"that are known to be controlled by Satoshi." ↦ Hypothesized to be controlled by Satoshi
Jun 14, 2024 12:12
Sounds good
Jun 14, 2024 12:11
It just zoomed past 777,777 ;)
Jun 14, 2024 12:11
@RaghavSood Cool, looking nice
Jun 13, 2024 19:49
That’s one strange transaction
Jun 13, 2024 18:11
It would be cool to add a line for "now" in this chart! burned.money/schedule

Jun 13, 2024 18:10
@RaghavSood Ah, I see that’s cool
Jun 13, 2024 18:08
Sleep well
Jun 13, 2024 18:01
@RaghavSood Sounds fun, and if someone can actually help all these poor souls that misplaced their wallet backups, or at least inform about it, that would be neat ^^
Jun 13, 2024 16:57
@RaghavSood There are a bunch of interesting new BIPs or BIP drafts to be read, though
Jun 13, 2024 16:56
@RaghavSood Samesame, pretty much. Few people are asking interesting questions, lots of people lost their wallets or getting scammed, and tons of spam ^^
Jun 13, 2024 14:57
I’ve reached out to the author.
Jun 13, 2024 14:57
@gelenor Oh no, yeah, I think that is wrong.
Jun 13, 2024 14:37
@RaghavSood Hey Raghav, nice to see you :)
May 6, 2024 20:03
@Mercedes You did? Do you mean about the BIPs improvements?

@RedGrittyBrick Great, thanks. I converted my topic to a community wiki and folded your answer into it

@RedGrittyBrick: Hey RedGrittyBrick, what do you think about me turning this answer into a community wiki and adding your point to the list? bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/122482/5406

I guess the rumors of someone using signet coins as the criteria for getting some altcoin drop must be true
Mar 1, 2024 18:00
Wow, the question how to get signet coins got over 1000 views since I asked it yesterday

I think they are copying the answers from ChatGPT, though, there are often gratuitous numbers after words as if there was a reference or footnote that they just copied along
Jan 24, 2024 14:42
I’m seeing a bunch of "Cryptex" spam lately. They’ve gotten pretty good at writing some useful answer and inserting Cryptex (some blockchain explorer or smth?) somewhere in it.

@VojtěchStrnad: hah, I had searched a bit and thought we didn’t have that question yet, but it turns out that I even edited it 2 years ago.
Jan 7, 2024 14:22
@PieterWuille: I think you may have pre-emptively answered all of Hurry Walk, LeaBit, and Cosmos’s subsequent questions in one swoop. It would be wonderful if we were to establish this approach as a more time-efficient way of dealing with "please review my understanding" questions generally: Ask a better question and answer that instead.
Jan 3, 2024 12:57
@VojtěchStrnad Sweet, thanks

@VojtěchStrnad Your passionate advocacy made me undelete them, but in return, I ask you to aid our struggle to get rid of visual clutter by flagging at least 6 obsolete comments 😁

Mh, seems like the advanced search only works if your in the "most relevant" tab, but if you set it to newest, it shows no results
Oct 28, 2023 12:33
The Election is linked in the Election Result post anyway as well
Oct 28, 2023 12:32
@VojtěchStrnad Good idea, done!

@HannahVernon: Thanks for the heads-up
