They are maintenance scripts that the Stack Exchange team have set up to run periodically.

@tintincute The stackexchange sites have a global wide reputation recalulation which makes sure everyone's reputation number are current and correct. I notice it ran recently because some of my reputation number changed on some of the sites.

Looks like the global rep recalc rolled through.

I back up a lot of stuff. Lots of Disk images, vm's I might create, beyond all the standard stuff. Also have a lot of stuff that is windows specific software, os x specific software, etc.

I have 2 - 2TB drives in a external Raid box, then 2 are in a pc.

Which was good, because about 4 months later, I lost one of my 500gb drives. Luckily, it was a backup drive. I buy every hard drive in pairs. If I upgrade to 2tb of data, I better have 2tb worth of backup potential.

I got really tired of hard drive juggling with data.

1 nice SSD will cost me the same amount it did to buy my 4x2TB setup.

@IvoFlipse If you got an SSD, you should be able to spring for a 2tb platter or two. ;)

Are we talking replacement or upgrading here?

They made them so you could upgrade those standard dell small ps's. I think they are kind of spendy though if I remember.

I can't remember off hand who they are though.

There are a couple power supply companies that make those specific dell PS's

I have wanted an ssd for about 6 months now, but I wanted to wait a bit longer to see if prices drop some and the initial reliability and long term performance data started rolling in.

I am not sure though what he can do much better than Tom's Hardware other then testing out some new models they might not have used.

@IvoFlipse I like to see all of the different file size performance numbers. But real world performance is much more useful to see.
