yeah it sounds like kappa-sigma clipping is removing outlier values

even if in each photo, the signal is under the noise floor

same number of photons should give the same result

and how does it make a big difference if you're counting for 1 minute 120 times and summing, or counting for 120 minutes

I bet you get more read noise with 120 shots versus 1, but fundamentally you're just counting the number of photons that hit buckets
