Right now we're just trying to get positive cashflow, maybe by doing AirBnB rentals, or working various odd jobs that people want a tugboat for.

But that dream may be infeasible.

We had originally planned to rent out rooms on it and then do interesting community-building things with it.

@David Good gods no. Through Canada we had a crew of 6, then we reduced down to a crew of 4. Three of us are the co-owners, and the other three are people we flew in just for the voyage.

"We" is me, my best friend, and the third co-owner who is being sort of difficult to work with.

@someonewithpc Well, most of the things we want to do require either being in a marina or having a commercially licensed captain, and both of those things are hard to get for a boat of this size, because of insurance companies on the one hand and legal regulations on the other.

@someonewithpc Eh. Well we have it. Having a hard time doing anything with it, unfortunately.

I had planned to last year, but never got around to it.

I can drive a 400 ton tugboat, but not a car lol

Hello @VRM, I don't believe that we've talked before, though I remember seeing your icon around.

Just the kind of friends that aren't really interested in the same things most of the time.

But I still consider y'all a group of friends that I care about...

Drawback of having Fourth of July in Alaska--you have to wait until 11:00 PM for it to get dark enough for fireworks.

Bonus of having Fourth of July up in Alaska--so many bald eagles. The other day I counted 25 visible from my window.

On what timescale? The project is at about 4 people, that tugboat is set up for about 7, with remodeling up to about 15, long term vision is a few dozen people.
