You don't mention which country you're in. In the US, there are medical transport services who would be more than capable of handling an ill passenger. You might try calling either your local hospital or doctor's office to see if they can recommend anyone.

You might also want to consider the Bus Factor aspect of this. If the rest of the team can't maintain the code, you'll be in a world of hurt if he ever leaves (i.e., "hit by a bus").
