Was the problem also easy enough to understand? I tried to be as clear as possible about the actual problem, separated from how I implemented a solution
TBH my team used to be quite underfunded within Amazon and only now we are just being brought back up to speed... so one of the things that we are working on currently is improving the testing of our platform (my team works on tax btw, that's all we focus on)
@Malachi We don't really have dedicated QA's here, they exist but for the most part SDE's can do basically the same thing (implementing automated testing)
The pipeline handles all the testing, so we have unit tests to build, integration tests in the first part of the pipeline (alpha/beta), performance tests after that (gamma) and then diff checks to go to prod
:46819249 Oh, well we have a pipeline through which code changes run... the devo parts are continuous deployment and the prod parts are more manual unfortunately... our team is working on that part
@202_accepted I was actually very concerned about that too when I started, working here for a bit now I can thankfully say it would be highly unlikely you would encounter that working for corporate
