I do not think you guys will get more visitors. Most of anime/manga fans go to a website that have anime/manga they can watch. I remember mangahelpers.com, they were really famous but whenever they disabled watching manga on their site.. their visitors average went downhill.

if you want an effective advertisment.. then you need to contact anime/manga website owners and make a deal with them.

I do not know, what are you guys planning to do? a blog or wordpress or tumblr is pretty much the same. why do not you stay on one site and improve it.

sometimes I search for ichigo.. not for bleach. for example.

search engines I guess.

not a complete wiki. but we can diffentaly add the main characters in the wiki and give some short summary about them.

the community as a whole can edit every tag.. and add more information.. like the genre .. summary and all

I do not think reviews will attract more people. However, if somebody want to write a review (ouside of this site) you have mangafox for manga. and there is a bunch of anime sites that allows you to right reviews
