I'm able to enable some AI on macOS editing feature flags but other functions are just stubs and don't have implementation even if I enabled the feature flag. Editing feature flags has got me catch up & summarise in Mac Mail though, even maybe before the US?

Everyone knows private APIs are prohibited, but public APIs?! They won't even say what API or how it's unapproved; it's been another couple of days and my detailed reply just got the exact same two sentences replied again :(

@bmike Indeed… and it has no place on macOS! I get it providing they don't take away the existing functionality and I can turn it off, both of which appear true for now; options are good and I'm sure people who don't engage with other macOS window management functionality could appreciate this, but it's clearly not a feature designed with macOS in mind.

@user1271772 Yes the built-in Photo Booth app. If connecting the camera causes you to have multiple cameras (such as in addition to an in-built one in a MacBook screen), you can switch camera from the menu.

@DavidScarlett Hi David! I’ve had lots of reviews for the app with this exact story, but I haven’t been able to narrow down what causes it. What is the device? Can you post a screenshot of the characteristics that Bluetooth Inspector shows for the device? I have a couple of theories as to what causes it (e.g. Bluetooth Inspector turns off the signal strength requirement, so will find devices that produce a weaker signal when in standby), but there’s limited concrete evidence.

They replaced a Thunderbolt with HDMI. Am I that disconnected from the needs of professionals? Add HDMI, sure. Remove USB-C/Thunderbolt for it? Insane. edit: it’s HDMI 2.0… already outdated. It gets worse.

Actually really sad at the death of the Touch Bar. Watching people celebrate its demise is even worse. I don’t understand. It’s meant to be a pro product with all the functionality! There’s even clearly space for both vertically now with a full size row of fn keys. Definitely pushed the upgrade to when I ‘need’ to upgrade rather than ‘want’ to upgrade.
