For playing the game Strupremum, where players compete to get ...

ambiguous (9)

Dec 12, 2018 09:28
first two are for the fb meta, and the last one is for the g+ meta (which also need solving)
Dec 12, 2018 09:28
@Sp3000 the puzzles that need solving are:
sxrt⑷ni,⑶txsin,r
ᴜĆ🚇H11⎕2N⠰Λ
U+(🥤-🍵+🍒)+(💷-🎵)(946)
Dec 10, 2018 10:17
only thing i've noticed for the facebook meta is that the words have the same number of consonants as vowels, but have no idea how to use that to extract
Dec 10, 2018 09:53
there are also five puzzles but only four colours, so i'm not sure how that would work
Dec 10, 2018 06:36
(i presume the solution's going to be a phrase this time too)
Dec 10, 2018 06:35
didn't think it was an answer, just an observation
Dec 10, 2018 06:35
hahahaha
Dec 10, 2018 06:29
twitter has five distinct letters which anagram to WRITE, which also has two vowels and three consonants, but not in the same pattern
Dec 10, 2018 06:23
hah never heard of a zoot suit before
Dec 10, 2018 06:21
i think that's just the rendering; if you look at the transcription the downward bit is before the metameta
Dec 10, 2018 06:20
same VCCVC pattern as well
Dec 10, 2018 06:13
oh cool
Dec 10, 2018 06:12
@stacksfiller is INSET an answer?
Dec 10, 2018 06:10
uric acid (I) and sand dune (N)
Dec 10, 2018 06:10
maybe
Dec 10, 2018 06:10
would be neater if the third letter was an A though...
Dec 10, 2018 06:09
hmm maybe
Dec 10, 2018 06:08
dunno about SWAN though -- "swan lake" doesn't work
Dec 10, 2018 06:07
and the third letters presumably are shared (like in SNAP CHAT)
Dec 10, 2018 06:06
the three answers so far can be paired with another four-letter word
Dec 10, 2018 06:06
i have an idea for the snapchat meta
Dec 10, 2018 05:22
i think stacks confirmed that the princess peach one was MARIO
Dec 10, 2018 05:18
are you going to put the meta stuff in your cw? you can take what i’ve got in my answer and i’ll delete it
Dec 10, 2018 05:15
sorry was offline for a bit
Dec 10, 2018 05:15
@Deusovi yeah go for it!
Dec 10, 2018 03:32
trying to backsolve... STONER isn’t an answer is it?
Dec 10, 2018 03:02
woot!
Dec 10, 2018 03:01
@stacksfiller is ACRES an answer?
Dec 10, 2018 02:50
awesome
Dec 10, 2018 02:49
SMILE?
Dec 10, 2018 02:49
@stacksfiller is SMILEY an answer?
Dec 10, 2018 02:38
oh MMt is probably (meta-meta-twitter)
Dec 10, 2018 02:37
fb, ig, sc, g+ (not sure about Mt)
Dec 10, 2018 02:36
oh the two chars after the M are acronyms for social media sites
Dec 10, 2018 02:36
could M stand for meta? there are a few of those 3 char bits lying around
Dec 9, 2018 10:35
dunno whether the alliteration is relevant
Dec 9, 2018 10:35
fix it FELIX? pulling at straws
Dec 9, 2018 10:23
yup that's what i got!
Dec 9, 2018 10:18
with the first one, you get a word if you continue the pattern
Dec 9, 2018 10:14
GLITCHES might be referring to the "glitchy" overlay of text, so that the answer is just LIFE?
Dec 9, 2018 10:01
sorting by numbers and then indexing gives KARATE
Dec 9, 2018 10:01
@Deusovi looks like 陸 is Japanese for 6; the languages are in alphabetical order and the numbers are 1-6
Dec 8, 2018 08:08
do you guys reckon a community metapuzzle round 2 is a good idea?
Dec 8, 2018 08:07
i've been sitting on an idea for a metapuzzle for over a year, and i don't think i have the time or the skill to do it all myself
Dec 8, 2018 08:06
had one question
Dec 8, 2018 08:06
hi guys! have been super busy this year and haven't really had a chance to puzzle
Jul 3, 2018 00:03
the thing to be said against alphabet-type systems is that spelling can be a bit of a mess sometimes (e.g. "plugh"), but i suppose memorising all the characters is equally as bad, if not worse
Jul 2, 2018 23:50
can't imagine how long writing would've taken back then lol
Jul 2, 2018 23:49
damn look at the traditional version of that character: 擰
