Well, then there are three options that come to my mind. 1) Shoot and magnify the pic on the screen, adjust and repeat. 2) When focusing, try to find the sweet spot in the 'area' that you find good enough. 3) Adjust viewfinder to your sight.

@ppumkin Do you have live view? That should work with tripod and stationary stuff.

I think that in the old times most SLRs had a focusing screen that made it much easier to focus manually.

Yep, and even when you're hand-holding you can break the rule :-)

@rfusca That was what I read in the highlights. Until now I thought that critique and feedback is basically the same thing.

@rfusca I guess it would be difficult to implement that in Stack Exchange context. It's something that would have to be done specifically for this site.

I've seen lot of talk about critique/feedback site in the starred messages for recent month or so. Is there any development about that?

Part of answer popularity is that it's easy to digest it. Some people are looking for one-line explanations and not for long descriptions.

Hey all, I'm kind of busy these days, so I've just dropped by to thank @RowlandShaw, @chills42 and @jrista for nominating themselves as moderators. The site seems to work very well under your rule, so I'm glad you've all volunteered again :-)

(Just one thing that came to my mind, I guess there are people who insist on displayng the picture exactly as they made that.)

Yep, that's an option as well. But I tend to not have fancy websites, so my preference hardly counts :-)

CSS magic won't work for old browsers, so if you want to be compatible with them you're going to need image editing magic.

Well, if "long exposure" means "long exposure and 1/1000 sec flash of light", then it surely is possible :-)

The reflection on the drop doesn't look like on-camera flash. I think the light came from camera right.

I understand CSS was related to jrista's site, I just don't think you can capture a water drop with long exposure.
