Thanks both for updates and comments to the document. It's getting there. Will contact my colleagues and distribute a copy of the doc for possibly further processing. @til_b - how many hours would you think producing a system like this would take? I know the specifications are not quite perfect yet, so this is more like a ballpark figure thing.
Example looks like something which could work - with some polishing on the user interface. Automation of image sources as well as option to send/store data.
Good if you can check this out. Perhaps I and Simbamangu in any case should start writing a requirement/specifications document. How would that sound @Simbamangu ?
I have aerial imagery produced using a drone. In my case the images have been processed and are presented as decently georeferenced to geotiffs. I would like to make the products freely available. Are there any services online which could be used?
My question was admittedly broad. But my quest remains - I want to know if someone knows about standards or systems which can do this. I should probably point this out more specifically. Any ideas of how to tune this question towards this end are most welcome.
The question started with the head of recreational management at the Norwegian Environment Agency came to my office suggesting we store hiking activities in OpenStreetMap. It did not immediately, after a while or even now strike me as a superb idea. But his intentions are good. He wants to establish a data flow for information about pedestrian use of trails. He also knows that establishing a fully fledged data management system is abig and expensive thing.
