@terdon apologies but you see that guy provoked me, I'll try not to be like that again
Mar 20, 2024 14:07
@ilkkachu it's only really you who are the liar, You still cower from admitting your lie, that terdon quoted
Mar 19, 2024 22:22
I'm not bothered it being closed, I voted to close it. I was just talking about @ilkkachu lying he's still cowering from the comment you quoted. Besides, my problem is solved I don't care about this question anymore.
Mar 19, 2024 17:58
but yes in that other case the guy was a mod, his comment was removed
Mar 19, 2024 17:57
My sincerest apologies for calling you a mod @ilkkachu hope you're not offended
Mar 19, 2024 17:55
that case was a little different than this one though
Mar 19, 2024 17:53
alright, apologies, I meant the text I added in the description was gleefully deleted, after a mod like illkachu being interested asked me to add the solution (I added iy in the description, after having accepted the answer, just for that mod) Btw @ilkkachu that is the quote of your lie, and later you said it was you who said that, so which is it?
Mar 19, 2024 15:13
I had accepted the answer but commented what the actual issue was and how I solved it which is what sparked that mods interest
Mar 19, 2024 15:11
anyway that was a 1 time thing, but it isn't right ti post my code and how I solved it on this question
Mar 19, 2024 15:09
I told the mod who asked me to post that it wasn't related to the question so there is no point, anyway I posted the solution in the description with a ruler above it for that guy and a mod deleted the text. which is why I don't think it's a good idea to post my code on this question as the same thing would happen
Mar 19, 2024 15:08
@terdon I didn't say anyone deleted my questions, I meant in the past, a mod like illkachu asked me to post what I had actually solved; I had mistakenly thought I needed to login to website to get cookies; which was what the question asked, but it turned out to be the user-agent.

Mar 19, 2024 14:59
I'm talking about how you said that I said it went away through a cosmetic change, then later you said that you said that. That wasn't about the close comment. This was after that, anyway if you don't want to apologise for lying that's fine.
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
@ikkachu apologise for saying this 'and that you claim it went away through a cosmetic change' clearly here you said I said that. Then you go on to say that is something you said. So which is it then? You seem to be confused or are you blatantly lying, I would think not? Perhaps it was a moment of idiotic stupidity hmmm? So what is it then? It can't both surely or can it?
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
" god stop with the lies, your quote: 'and that you claim it went away through a cosmetic change,' I think you should apologise for claiming you didn't say that?' " look at the comment where I said that @aviro and look at the comment below where I say 'oi ikkachu' I'm not talking about the close comment, I acknowledged that. He made an actual lie but as usual you can't read. notice how he didn't respond to that as he knows what he said, this was after I thought he had written the close comment. he lied about something else claiming I said something that I didn't.
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
I admit I went about this the wrong way, the reason I simplified it like this is because people get distracted by other stuff
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
ok I'll make another question and add it there, I was getting at you because you kept focusing on that stupid example script instead of the actual problem, things like IFS and the function name (which had been written wrongly in a future edit) I had stated in the question the script was just to get to the root of the problem. I'm not posting it here as an overzealous mod will delete it. @ilkkachu, you didn't address your lie I quoted in bold, however I forgive you, and save you the embarrassment.
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
I didn't say it should be reopened just that the comment should be edited, but it's fine since it's canned. The reason I started posting snippets is because people get hung up on other things and miss the point of the question
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
god stop with the lies, your quote: 'and that you claim it went away through a cosmetic change,' I think you should apologise for claiming you didn't say that? Ok that's fine, I've had a similar situation as this where I showed my actual problem and it was deleted gleefully by the overzealous admins here, which is why I refuse to. If you are interested I can post another question? I voted to close because I knew this would keep getting downvoted
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
I'm not going to describe the actual problem as you'll jump on it with administrative ecstasy saying it's not related to the question, but my answer solved my actual problem
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
where did I say it went away through a cosmetic change? You are really stuck in your own biases. Look at the history, the typo for echoSimultaneously was added later after an edit, so remove that line in the brackets from the close reason if you have any integrity.
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
Oi, @ilkkachu stop lying with your comment about how the problem went away after the typo was fixed. The typo was introduced much later during an edit. There is no point in telling lies, are you a liar? Or that desperate to seem right?
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
no point now in showing what my actual case is as it's been solved and would require asking another question.
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
it was an unnecessary variable to show, I just always set it. it added nothing to the question. Like I said I don't care about that stupid example script, I asked the question like that so people would stay focused on the issue, anyway next time I'll do it better.
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
I only said you're coming after me as you kept the comments after he rightfully so deleted his answer. Ignore IFS=$'\n' it's a preference I have, nothing to do with this script, I should've left it out as it added nothing. But yes, I thought I'd simplify the case so that people don't get hung up on other stuff, that was an error. Apologies for the name calling I'll control myself from now on, sometimes people will say 'I done this and it didn't work' then suggest I edit the question, that guy deleted his commentwhere the question explicitly states 'do this' it annoys me that they didn't read.
Mar 18, 2024 22:58
Don't know what kind of witchcraft you done. I tried both versions and only the export one worked. Obviously the fellow deleted his answer because he seen it didn't work. Unsure why you are so adamant to come after me that you kept the comments.

Q: Calculating the apparent molecule length from density of the bulk

NickotineI'm interested to estimate the apparent length of the water molecule assuming it could be approximated as a cube. This is an intentional simplification. Calculating molecule length from volume in density equation I used this equation to find the volume for a mole of water molecules with $\varrho...

Jul 20, 2023 21:07
take a look at this and the reason for closure
Jul 20, 2023 21:07
it's quite rare to come across a straightforward and actually researching too, I appreciate your time very much I just know I'm going to get banned
Jul 20, 2023 21:05
these guys don't forgive or forget and iI'm definitely going to be banned again from asking questions, so as 1 of the few 'good guys' would you mind giving me your email?
Jul 20, 2023 21:03
if you think I'm acting crazy please have a look at this question and the reason given to close it, they simply jusy don't align
Jul 20, 2023 21:02
This sub seems to hate me, look at the comments on this question, chemistry.stackexchange.com/questions/175107/… guy came in nitpicked, said I'm wrong then left. In the past I deleted 2 questions, because of extreme downvotes I remember one of them was to do with me not balancing an equation correctly

What I mean when I say 'calculate ΔH without using the sum of bond dissociation energies' is because ΔH can only be calculated in this way for ideal gasses
Jul 20, 2023 20:21
@Waylander
Jul 20, 2023 20:21
please ask me to clarify if you don't know what I'm trying to ask, I can't get my point across as I add a lot of 'noise'
Jul 20, 2023 20:18
So is there another way to calculate energy of reaction then convert that to a temperature, or is all determined empirically?
Jul 20, 2023 20:15
furthermore ΔT is a temperature difference not the actual temperature (focusing on activation energy for me) use the gibbs free energy equation but is that not just a tool to determine whether a reaction is feasible? What I'd really like to know is how do you calculate ΔH without bond dissociation energies and is it possible to derive the temperature from ΔH? I guess I need an equation
Jul 20, 2023 20:13
I could use the gibbs free energy equation but is that not just a tool to determine whether a reaction is feasible? What I'd really like to know is how do you calculate ΔH without bond dissociation energies and is it possible to derive the temperature from ΔH? I guess I need an equation
Jul 20, 2023 20:07
I can't use that equation because it requires the pressure and temperature to stay constant
Jul 20, 2023 20:06
ΔT = ΔH / (M * c)
Jul 20, 2023 20:05
2. that I could convert the energy to temperature using this equation:
Jul 20, 2023 20:04
that only works for ideal gases
Jul 20, 2023 20:03
ΔH = [H]reactantSumAllBonds - [H]productsSumAllBonds
Jul 20, 2023 20:00
I didn't know that I couldn't use the following equation:
Jul 20, 2023 20:00
CH3CH2OH --> CH2CH2 + H2O
