a lot has changed, but fortunately this chat still looks like it has been programmed in the 19th century
Apr 26 13:31
@leslietownes It really has been quite a while.
Apr 25 20:55
@imbAF inverse image of open set is open
Apr 25 20:53
good day
Jan 12, 2024 21:23
dont know if you remember me
Jan 12, 2024 21:23
@XanderHenderson long time no see
Jan 12, 2024 21:18
dont really care too much
Jan 12, 2024 21:18
@Jakobian Still I think it's a win win but yeah
Jan 12, 2024 21:18
@TedShifrin You're right I added that in my second message.
Jan 12, 2024 21:17
@AlessandroTerminiello Don't want to be rude but this is an English site and it should be spoken English, also on general question and answers. Most people can't understand your messages. I think its best if you went into a private room. Then you can explain it without other messages interfering and this room is kept in English. If I'm btw they only one who thinks that continue it's not that important but I think it's a win win.
Jan 12, 2024 21:13
@Jakobian true but I don't have the time
Jan 12, 2024 21:13
@Jakobian They're not mathematicians, I think the term complex differentiable would be pretty complicated for them
Jan 12, 2024 21:12
why what
Jan 12, 2024 21:11
idk wdy think
Jan 12, 2024 21:11
yeah I think "super smooth" and "well behaved" should do it
Jan 12, 2024 21:11
@Jakobian By knowing derivativs I meant they know Calc 1 or 2 derivative rules so know complex definitions (no pun intended)
Jan 12, 2024 21:09
Perhaps I can "ultra smooth function" ;)
Jan 12, 2024 21:09
yeah
Jan 12, 2024 21:09
@Jakobian Yeah I forgot the holomorphicity but I don't really know how to explain it to the mentioned audience.
Jan 12, 2024 21:08
(Btw forgot to say function has to be holomorphic on its domain.)
Jan 12, 2024 21:07
@Jakobian What do you mean?
Jan 12, 2024 21:06
Note: They know the def and simple arithmetic of complex numbers and have a high school understanding of a function.
Jan 12, 2024 21:05
(I'm asking if it's also correct despite it's simplification.)
Jan 12, 2024 21:05
I'm preparing for a presentation and most of the audience are not proficient in complex analysis. Do you think I can say the following sentence: "If I have a function on a subset of the (complex) plane, then there might be a function which is equal to the orginal one on the original domain however is defined on a larger set. The second function is what we call the analytic continuation of the first one. It is important to note that it is unique."
Jan 11, 2024 23:31
china tactic
Jan 11, 2024 23:01
So it's possible?
Jan 11, 2024 22:56
Can we define a multiplication so that R3 is a field? (For example we can do this for R2 with complex multiplication.) Does it also work for R3?
Jan 11, 2024 22:55
actually 2

Jan 11, 2024 22:55
I have question
Jan 11, 2024 22:55
oh no
Jan 11, 2024 22:52

Jan 9, 2024 18:20
what do you think is the probabilty that an average beginner will crash or f* up on a ninja 400?
Jan 9, 2024 17:57
what do you think is the probabilty that i will crash or f* up on a ninja 400?
Jan 9, 2024 17:00
but im 18 now so i think it not really good moneywise
Jan 9, 2024 17:00
that makes sense if you're learning to drive 125 at maybe 16

Jan 9, 2024 16:44
it's probably netwise less expensive than buying two different motorcycles
Jan 9, 2024 16:44
do you recommend them?
Jan 9, 2024 16:41
@RoryAlsop Isn't it also possible to reduce the power, not sure what it's called in english. So installing smth so that the bike has less power but you can also take it away
Jan 9, 2024 16:29
How do I know if it's too fast for me?
Jan 9, 2024 16:29
@RoryAlsop In my country it's not only legal but I can also drive it with only my theory exam which I have passed
Jan 9, 2024 16:27
@RoryAlsop what do you mean? I've never had a bike before
Jan 9, 2024 16:25
@RoryAlsop what do you mean by jerky on the throttle
Jan 9, 2024 16:24
Also I'm thinking financially.. don't wanna buy an new one after a few years
Jan 9, 2024 16:23
@RoryAlsop It's funny because everyone else says it's a relatively slower bike compared to most others. I don't know to whom I should listen
Jan 9, 2024 16:18
I'm a beginner. Do you recommend the Ninja 400?
Jan 9, 2024 16:17
@BobCross Hello!
