I think that is because of I am still sore from whatever led me to quit in the first place. I initially thought I will be able to let go of things with time, but it seems to be a longer process than I anticipated... (>_<)

I really enjoyed the conversations and hangouts that we had in the first iteration. After I quit my account, and then came back, it's been difficult for me to maintain the same level of energy.

I'm not sure what counts as "recently active". It's quite possible that every activity that bumps a question to the homepage will also cause the feed to post here. Maybe that's not a bad thing, considering that the activity in the tags we watch is quite slow.

@Aaron Yes, some ragams do have ascending and descending scales with different pitches. And yes, some ragams do have "zig-zag" portions within the "ascending" or "descending" scales, so they need not be strictly ascending or descending.

However, I've never thought of the scales in Indian music as being modeled from "lowest" to "highest" pitch, based on these aspects. But, it's certainly true that the seven swaras of Indian music, Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni, correspond to (for instance) Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti, and they are indeed in ascending order of pitch. If that is what you meant originally, then sure, Indian music also follows the "lowest to highest pitch" model.
