Maybe I have to figure out how to use github.com/DreymaR/BigBagKbdTrixPKL
Apr 13, 2022 12:30
No I can't.
Apr 13, 2022 12:27
But could I start a new RIDE from RIDE and then connect to that by using a different port.
Apr 13, 2022 12:26
Or at least I don't know how to do it.
Apr 13, 2022 12:25
I can. It is working nicely. But I can't use Jupyter Notebook and RIDE in same session. ;)
Apr 13, 2022 12:22
@Adám I'm not able to install that. ;)
Apr 13, 2022 12:18
I will check that.
Apr 13, 2022 12:05
And I don't have any windows system installed on my Linux instance. Is there any possibilities to use prefix with tty as in Ride?
Apr 13, 2022 12:03
I don't any problems with my own laptop.
Apr 13, 2022 12:03
The problem is that Dyalog UnicodeIME needs admin rights.
Apr 13, 2022 11:53
What is the way to use apl characters with tty version which I use with putty? I tried to install Dyalog IME with help of IT department but for some reason I can't see keyboard layout in taskbar and don't have access to registry so I could do something there.
Mar 29, 2022 12:25
@Adám I don't think so. But I haven't installed Ride...
Mar 29, 2022 12:22
@Adám ⎕PW works. But It should work automatically because it's set up in kernel.py.
Mar 29, 2022 12:15
@Adám It wasn't LineEditorMode setting. I will try that ⎕PW.
Mar 29, 2022 12:11
@Adám Thanks. It was maybe related to "Dyalog_LineEditor_Mode=1" setting which I had on.
Mar 29, 2022 12:08
@Adám Sometimes it's like that and sometimes not.
Mar 29, 2022 12:05
@Adám Yes, I do.
Mar 29, 2022 12:01
@Adám I have problems with Jupyter Notebook with automatic line wrapping. How can I get rid off it? ;)
Mar 29, 2022 08:56
My bad. I was enabled DYALOG_NETCORE and I actually I have installed only dotnet version 6.0.102.
Mar 29, 2022 08:50
Has anyone used Jupyter Notebooks with 18.2? When I try to ]link.create ns folder I will get the following error message ERRORS ENCOUNTERED: VALUE ERROR: Undefined name: System
Jan 30, 2022 12:04
Is there anywhere any plans for wasm-version of APL? It would be nice to manipulate data with APL in browsers.
Dec 14, 2021 23:02
@MortenKromberg I will write down the instructions tomorrow....
Dec 14, 2021 23:01
@MortenKromberg I was able to set up ssh on WSL2 so that it starts automatically on log on so I don't have to know any ip addresses. I can start Ride from localhost and It's starts an interpreter from WSL2 (/opt/mdyalog/18.0/64/unicode/mapl). It's easier like this because now I can use Dyalog APL IME on Windows. It's not working if I start Ride directly on WSL2.
Dec 14, 2021 20:41
@Adám That's true. I will do an issue on GitHub.
Dec 14, 2021 20:32
@MortenKromberg No need anymore - export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 in .bashrc worked
Dec 14, 2021 20:19
@MortenKromberg This was my first plan. ;)
Dec 14, 2021 20:13
@Adám No. APL is running but I will the error message in a terminal when I start a session. Later on I will get some dconf error messages in terminal.
Dec 14, 2021 20:10
@Adám In terminal.
Dec 14, 2021 20:06
@Adám I'm able to run Ride on WSL2 in Windows 11 but I will get the following error message [14197:1214/215604.144917:ERROR:buffer_manager.cc(488)] [.DisplayCompositor]GL ERROR :GL_INVALID_OPERATION : glBufferData: <- error from previous GL command. What should I do?
Dec 2, 2021 18:28
@klao That's good to know. Thanks.
Dec 2, 2021 18:26
@rak1507 People are maybe so used to use moving averages during these covid-times.
Dec 2, 2021 18:24
@klao Maybe I thought too much when I decided to be sure that the depth isn't negative...
Dec 1, 2021 20:55
@xpqz Now I get it. Two element are the same ones so you can compare just the different one. This is a really nice way to learn from wiser people. ;)
Dec 1, 2021 20:37
@xpqz I don't understand your solution to the part two. Why don't you need to take 3-windows sum?
Nov 21, 2021 16:39
As you can see memcpy can read the buffer but STRLEN notice only the first character and the same with STRNCPY.
Nov 21, 2021 16:38
I tried it like this:
⎕na 'P msvcrt|malloc U8'
addr←malloc 256
'put' ⎕na 'P msvcrt|memcpy P <0T[] U8'
put addr 'test string' 255
74952720
'get' ⎕na 'P msvcrt|memcpy >0T[] P U8'
get 255 addr 255
┌────────┬───────────┐
│18746816│test string│
└────────┴───────────┘
'len' ⎕NA'P dyalog64|STRLEN P'
len addr
1
'getstr'⎕NA'msvcrt|wcsncpy >0T[] P U8'
getstr 256 addr 256
test string
'getstrd'⎕NA'dyalog64|STRNCPY >0T[] P U8'
getstrd 256 addr 256
t
Nov 21, 2021 16:37
Could someone help me? I would need to write a string to memory buffer in Windows.
Jul 23, 2021 08:52
@Adám Yep.
Jul 23, 2021 08:52
@Adám I already changed those. Now I have ]vegalite, ]markdown and ]multiline
Jul 23, 2021 08:51
@Adám I could live with the present .apla format if Dyalog editor would open it in a proper format.
Jul 23, 2021 04:33
@Adám I can change those. I didn't use ] because those are not user commands in Dyalog. I have three commands - vegalite, markdown and multiline. Vegalite and markdown indicates how to render the following output.
Jul 22, 2021 20:44
And earlier today I had problems with JupyterLab and Visual studio code due to different eols so I had to add the following line to settings of Code: "files.eol": "\n". So sometimes user has to know what to do. But sometimes it's really nice to trust working tools like ]link.create.
Jul 22, 2021 20:34
It uses Dyalog's LineEditor Mode.
Jul 22, 2021 20:32
I just got implemented :multiline feature to dyalog-jupyter-kernel. It's just 35 times faster than you ]dinput.
Jul 22, 2021 19:47
@Adám And It should be easily possible to fix those.
Jul 22, 2021 18:57
But I can always do it like this: fun←{
CREATE TABLE dyalog(
it,
can't,
be,
like,
this)
}
Jul 22, 2021 18:51
JupyterLab and Visual Studio Code has exactly to same problem. I think JupyterLab uses just UCS 13 and in Visual Studio Code you can choose.
Jul 22, 2021 18:50
@Adám Just save everything with UCS 13 and user can use external editor to delete extras.
Jul 22, 2021 18:48
@Adám Exactly. I use VisualStudio Code to minify/prettify JSON.
Jul 22, 2021 18:47
I like to the present state but apla should be a plain text file. Now it looks lik 'CREATE TABLE dyalog(',(⎕UCS 13),' it,',(⎕UCS 13),' can''t,',(⎕UCS 13),' be,',(⎕UCS 13),' like,',(⎕UCS 13),' this)',(⎕UCS 13)
