Yes got it :)
Feb 14, 2023 06:10
@copper.hat so it represents a point right?
Feb 14, 2023 06:08
@copper.hat ah I recently turned 19....
Feb 14, 2023 06:07
this is what i got (x-3)²+ (y+4)²=0
Feb 14, 2023 06:05
@copper.hat basically I wanna know what this curve will represent a circle, line or a point
Feb 14, 2023 06:01
What am I missing 😕 here
Feb 14, 2023 06:00
The equation "x² + y²- 6x+ 8y + 25 = 0" represents... ??Can anybody tell me what this 2nd degree curve represents..according to my text I know that a 2nd degree curve represents a circle when coefficients of x²= y² and coefficient of xy term = 0 and it seems like both the conditions are fulfilled here..but I also know that a general 2nd degree curve represents a pair of straight lines if determinant is equal to zero i.e. abc+2fgh-af²_bg²_ch²=0

That slope of AB is "-3"?
Feb 13, 2023 21:37
@ペガサスSeiya when the product of their slopes is -1 assuming none of the two lines are vertical...
Feb 13, 2023 21:35
@ペガサスSeiya how?
Feb 13, 2023 21:29
@SineoftheTime is there any other way?
Feb 13, 2023 21:20
@SineoftheTime well my mind says...calculate the derivative maximise that's it lol
Feb 13, 2023 21:10
Can I include a image here?
Feb 13, 2023 21:09
Umm! Okay
Feb 13, 2023 21:09
But I thought it would be good to discuss here
Feb 13, 2023 21:08
@ペガサスSeiya Umm! I can do that

A straight line passing through P (3, 1) meets the
coordinate axes at A and B. It is given that the
distance of this straight line from the origin O is
maximum. The area of triangle OAB is equal to... Can anybody help me with question..one way could be calculate the length of perpendicular from orgin and maximise it..but that would be quite lengthy...is there any other way
Feb 13, 2023 20:32
Umm! Can u help me with the above question..?
Feb 13, 2023 20:31
Hi
Feb 13, 2023 20:26
Anyone😢

Any hints would be helpful 🙂

ABCD is square. Points E (4, 3) and F(2, 5) lie on AB and CD, respectively, such that EF divides the square in two equal parts. If the coordinates of A are (7, 3) then the coordinates of other vertices can be.. I'm having trouble with this question
Nov 27, 2022 12:10
Thanks a lot you were a big help :)
Nov 27, 2022 11:50
Ok I got it, So when does it helps to check if derivative of a function is increasing to find whether a function is injective?
Nov 27, 2022 11:47
I'm taking R-{0} as domain
Nov 27, 2022 11:43
Umm so, there is this question which has been bugging me for a while.. f(x)= x-(1/x).. we can see its derivative is positve in its domain that means function is strictly increasing but still it is not injective why?
Nov 27, 2022 11:41
I have a doubt
Sep 9, 2021 06:38
Thank you professor :)
Sep 9, 2021 06:37
Oh! I understand it now :)
Sep 9, 2021 06:35
No!
Sep 9, 2021 06:34
What is rank professor?
Sep 9, 2021 06:33
no It is n by n matrix
Sep 9, 2021 06:32
I mean n*n matrix
Sep 9, 2021 06:31
@robjohn Sorry professor, it has been killing me for a while. I know it should be n^2- n but let's say if it is zero matrices then it should be n^2 right? Why don't we take the worst-case possible i.e. considering zero matrix?
Sep 9, 2021 06:28
If I have a diagonal matrix of order n, let's say what should be the maximum possible number of zeroes in it?
Sep 9, 2021 06:27
Hi!
Aug 11, 2021 16:18
Alright :)
Aug 11, 2021 16:12
@robjohn @leslietownes Can you recommend me a book to just read for gaining deep insights on Caclulus just for fun as a high school student?
Aug 11, 2021 16:09
Thanks a lot, all the professors :)

Sep 9, 2021 20:59
Yeah! It's standalone
Sep 9, 2021 20:55
And how to do that?
Sep 9, 2021 20:52
Oh! Cool, actually I have written this script and I want to implement it to different google sheets, so I don't want to go over the long of conventionally copying-pasting things, is there any short way to just migrate the project to different sheets
Sep 9, 2021 20:48
Google apps script..haha
Sep 9, 2021 20:47
Actually, I have a question about the apps script.
Sep 9, 2021 20:46
I'm mainly active on maths chatrooms over StackExchange. So, this is pretty new to me
Sep 9, 2021 20:45
I see, sounds interesting
Sep 9, 2021 20:44
What this chatroom is all about?
Sep 9, 2021 20:44
Hi everyone!
