If the shared housing is beneficial to you I wouldn't change it, that's out of their range. Though if they value you so much they should let you do as you please or you can move to another position that would be more accepting.

They might also have undiagnosed ADHD or something else. I don't know if the standard should be to incite them to get get assessed or to let them figure it out on their own. An assessment would help to validate if they are doing well or would need medication, temporarily or not.
