@ewwhite - re: Exchange address policies - I try really hard never to have exceptions. I find that many exceptions are better handled with a hidden distribution group w/ a single member because I want that exception to be readily apparent when turnover occurs.
It's like the fucking site has turned into nothing but petty arguments with pedantic dickwads. "My answer is technically correct" even though it ignores the OP's business requirements. "You lack reading comprehension". >sigh< Fucking monotonous. I can see why people are disinterested with the site.
@BigHomie - Nah-- your answer looks elegant and very reasonable. I'd have probably invoked IMAGEX from the command-line rather than using the cmdlet simply out of ignorance.
@kce - Count your lucky stars that you know what the reason for the rejection was. That, at least, gives you some feedback, even if it's mostly unhelpful. When I'm in particularly petulant mood I think about rejections where I didn't get any indication of the reason and find myself musing about what I could have done differently. That is a supreme waste of time.
@BigHomie - I didn't see who asked the question on the 'convert a VMDK to WIM' question. I was going to give you a comment to the effect of "Damn-- you answered that one fast. I'm clearly off my game.", then I realized you asked it yourself. >smile<
@BigHomie - I dunno-- I've just never had occasion to ask a question. I get a decent amount of help from Server Fault just by looking at questions others have asked.
I would think that all you'd need is just the AD schema upgraded and you should be good, in that case. (I actually haven't done that before... it's one of those "in my copious free time I'd like to play with this" things...)
@RyJones That's an edge case but, even then, I subscribe to the "developers need admin access but should work w/ limited user accounts for day-to-day use".
