@SpehroPefhany did you chose 100 mm as the length of beam? Are you trying to visulize a string of 1e4 electrons progressing from the electron gun to the phosphor? Wouldn't it make more sense to talk about electron density or a volume with a length on the order of diameter of the beam? Then in a 0.1 mm x 0.1 mm x 0.1 mm volume you'd have about a dozen electrons.

House prices in Oxford, Cambridge and London are exorbitant. Recruiting staff is difficult becasue once you select someone, they back out once they find out how much it costs to live.

I worked for a company like this. My advice is to run. They extended my probationary period by changing my job title and then let me go at the end of 2 periods once the work was done. My last paycheque was negative as the company paid for my relocation.

@StefanoBorini You might want it, but there is no software for it. You'll end up using it as a sRGB monitor and your kids will wonder why you held onto such an ugly monitor and waxed lyrical about it.

Why does it matter? Are you depending upon the mains supply to be exact for something or are you feeding a switcher?

Is the problem how to flash the LED for the longest time, not for the minimum current. Battery life might be prolonged by constantly drawing a small current for a long time rather than occasional large current demands.

Why red LED? Why not a green one as the eye is much more sensitive to green light.
