EU may have a minimal wage rules appliccable - in Germany f.e. this is currently being raised to 12€/hour - with 500€ you are able to work ~42 hours per MONTH - if working more your employer would be in violation of local laws - just another big red flag. Check if minimal wages apply to interns.

@Sebas Sometimes - they also get promises of shares - that may or may not pay out. And it is expected that they work 80h a week, long nights, multiple roles as needed etc. It depends ...

Computational costs: with limited aggro range you can check if aggro, if not ignore mob for further calculations. Games have mechanics to alert "others" - likes bells or alarms that cause reinforcements to arise. Suspicion-meters also exsist to get away from a yes/no aggro stance. Some games have mobs detect you and if detected nearby mobs also get alerted or curious. Also there may be good reasons not to reactor - else you could (as group) use simple pulls to get mobs away from their spawn locations and invade them while they do a merry chase after your skirmishers ... etc.

Take a sheet of paper and some wood glue. light up the paper and wrap it around one end - presto: light on a 11 feet pole.

Wait till the smart ones communicate with the outside world, electrocute someone near the barrier, shove the dead human body through it and on the other side start CPR to bring them back to live ...

Loophole: homicide. Marriage, live together until the will to live together erodes, shoot your spouse, remarry. Have real sex only married, do telefone/heavy petting before and if asked lie about it and say you're smelly since puberty due to "a drunken mishap".

Not a world worth living in. While some couples might be able to stay-together-till-death-does-us-part - plenty do not. Being "forced" into a relationshiip will wreak havoc on their lives - my bet would be a quite high suicidal rate. Or so many "smelly" people this won't have any consequences.

What place else would a 8th son of a 7th daughter of some backyard noble go to after all his siblings hold positions as heir, cleric, mage, municipal advisor/thief, etc. If you are riddled with 8 childs you'll put one up into the fools guild as well - its a basic education including tumbling, sleight of hand, education (lore of other nobility to ridicule them), table manners (to go against them for jokes), eticette (to know whom to ridicule how much without loosing your head) etc
