@NickT I was thinking it might be good to get some concensus "are people happy with the proposed design", to help the discussion converge on something. Jin said he wants to make the changes this Thursday.
I've just received an email from our benevolent StackExchange overlords asking moderators to take a look at the propsed site design. There's been some discussion on meta. Are we happy with the proposed design or do we want something else? I could raise this as a question on meta for a vote with a time limit?
@Kortuk I clicked "flag for moderator" on your comment to electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/9841/… (I didn't want to edit it, but didn't think "shit" was needed). For some reason, it's now deleted. Sorry, that wasn't my intention.
@reemrevnivek is a pain to spell right. But, I don't think it's "unprofessional". It's just a nickname like any other. Using your real name has the disadvantage of making you very searchable by name.
The response to that BeagleBoard question isn't really an ad - it answers the question. But, that's probably a good reason to disallow the question. I'd like to vote, but would like a non-moderator vote...
@Kortuk I think we should just keep closing/merging the duplicates with a comment saying "Thomas Please check for duplicates". I don't want to discourage people from asking questions...
