Jul 30, 2018 19:21
I was dead on the way back
Jul 30, 2018 19:20
I made the big mistake today to drive to work on bike
Jul 30, 2018 19:16
and closed it quickly I guess, because it felt like a hair dryer
Jul 30, 2018 19:13
@PerlDuck we could still get there!
Jul 30, 2018 19:13
@PerlDuck that was in August
Jul 30, 2018 19:11

I think he thinks he knows better.

30 deg C at 9pm, I don't think I ever experienced that...
Jul 30, 2018 18:47
It has +/- 3 votes, I voted for closing it for being too broad. I thought OP is just a troll. Now he offers a bounty.

This question is giving me the headaches: askubuntu.com/questions/1059474/…
Jul 30, 2018 18:41

Jul 16, 2018 19:44
(and all subdirs)
Jul 16, 2018 19:44
I am thinking of editing it only as root in order to soft-force a umask to users for that directory
Jul 16, 2018 19:42
checksum would be better, but still awesome
Jul 16, 2018 19:42
so you're only trusting the current version?
Jul 16, 2018 19:42
no?
Jul 16, 2018 19:41
still, once you "trust" a directory, any subsequent change to .envrc will make it into your environment
Jul 16, 2018 19:40
true. Cool.
Jul 16, 2018 19:39
I was wondering about the security implications
Jul 16, 2018 19:39
@AmithKK it would probably still be better then hoping for the users to do it correctly :)
Jul 16, 2018 19:34
@AmithKK you mentioned direnv in an answer recently. I didn't know it and I think I will like it. But one question: Would you consider it useful in an environment with shared (group-writable) directories for setting umask?
Jul 16, 2018 19:30
emacs?
Jul 16, 2018 19:23
@William you're a cut :)
Jul 16, 2018 19:22
some german writers are crazy about long sentences...
Jul 16, 2018 19:22
@PerlDuck it's ok as long as you don't make too long sentences
Jul 2, 2018 20:59
I was just a little scared to logout from the old account and lose everything :)
Jul 2, 2018 20:59
if course, I understand this is not the SO support forum :)
Jul 2, 2018 20:57
thanks a lot for your help anyway!
Jul 2, 2018 20:57

Jul 2, 2018 20:56

Jul 2, 2018 20:53
I thought they have some automated process, but it seemed to have failed
Jul 2, 2018 20:53
the new one is really new, like 15 minutes old
Jul 2, 2018 20:53
@Seth this is my old one
Jul 2, 2018 20:53

Jul 2, 2018 20:51

Jul 2, 2018 20:50

Jul 2, 2018 20:48
sigh
Jul 2, 2018 20:45
I clicked on the link that said I should create another login because OpenID will be shut down or whatever. Now I have two accounts. Any idea what I can do?
