One tip: Just a suggestion. If you did want to go deeper-level on the psychology/sociology of this, this meta post states that you would be able to tag it hard-science. If you wanted to do biological stuff, I'm sure that would get good answers too. Either way I'd recommend using the Sandbox.

"I pull back and wait, my bodies across the galaxy all going towards a new destination. A new purpose. The final goal.
Time to destroy Terra. They might recover their force, but they will never recover their spirit.
Humans. So sentimental.
So heartless.
So unpredictable.
Am I predictable?
Will they guess? See me coming?
I hope not.
I descend from every corner of the universe."

I'm only about 1/3-1/2 of the way done with the first draft of Harmony 3, but I did figure out a good blurb, so here it is.
Oct 11, 2018 12:58
Working on #3 now.
Oct 11, 2018 12:58
@MonicaCellio No problem, thanks for getting it up. I updated it with a cover image and then added the link to the first story (and vice versa.)
Oct 1, 2018 21:58
@MonicaCellio New draft submitted.

@Andy The papa/papá thing that's starred->
Sep 12, 2018 00:14
@Andy another thing. Apply-er does work, but so does applier. So you could be an "applier of sarcasm."
Sep 11, 2018 14:02
@Hosch250 No idea.
Sep 11, 2018 14:02
Nice rendering

Also. Carné=ID, carne=meat
Sep 11, 2018 13:58
So, um . . be careful
Sep 11, 2018 13:57
But Papá can also refer to the Pope
Sep 11, 2018 13:56
Therefore: My father has 47 years (is forty-seven years old.) vs My potato has 47 anuses

Sep 11, 2018 13:56
papa=potato papá=father
Sep 11, 2018 13:55
año= year ano=anus
Sep 11, 2018 13:55
Sure
Sep 11, 2018 13:54
I'm sure there's more.
Sep 11, 2018 13:53
And, um . . "Como éstas" means "[I] eat these." "¿Como estás?" means "How are [you]?"
Sep 11, 2018 13:50
@AndyD273 Well, be careful. This might not apply to German, but in Spanish you can make some grave mistakes: "Mi papá tiene cuarenta y siete años" is a regular statements. But "Mi papa tiene cuarenta y siete anos" will get you some strange looks . . .
Sep 7, 2018 13:03
@Andy Cold brew only. IK, IK.

Back from vacay!
Aug 30, 2018 18:48
Aaaa. Do I need more feedback on my sandbox draft (the language one), or am I just obsessive/paranoid/perfectionist?
Aug 29, 2018 00:59
Who'd have thought that a Stradivari-era Cremona violin would be of such interest to a chemist?

@AzorAhai I see your point; thanks for the feedback. It's no problem for me to edit it out.
Sep 6, 2018 12:39
@AzorAhai I did have a longer list as to why it was hard to learn (in the Sandbox) but edited it out for length. I'll add that back in when I can
Sep 6, 2018 12:39
@RonJohn I agree. Sadly, I felt that the full background was necessary so as to explain constraints, make the situation seem a little more realistic, and give detail as to the languages. But I'll work on a TL;DR for some of the individual sections when I can.
Sep 6, 2018 12:39
@Ummdustry Yes. Old BC's people had a single language, and lost most of its knowledge of other languages after journeying to the place where New BC and LC are.
