Aug 23, 2012 16:49
ok sir. I get it. Thank you so much for your help, Sir.
Aug 23, 2012 16:44
congruence modulo 4
Aug 23, 2012 16:43
I have to check whether binary operation {0,1} is a homomorphic image of ($Z_4,+_4)$, Sir.
Aug 23, 2012 16:40
Can you kindly explain how to prove it by taking values as 0 and 1? should I replace them by 0 and 1?
Aug 23, 2012 16:38
oh...sorry sir. I read the question wrongly. It's given as homomorphic only and not isomorphic.
Aug 23, 2012 16:32
@MattPressland But, it has been given that, by taking g([0])=g([2])=0 and g([1])=g([3]) = 1 they have proved it as isomorphic sir.
Aug 23, 2012 16:29
Sir, I have another doubt. These two tables are of same size. But what if both are of different size. For eg. $+_4$ ([0],[1],[2],[3]) and B={0,1} with operation + ?
Aug 23, 2012 16:29
Thanks. But how to find the right combination? Is that by trial and error method?
Aug 23, 2012 16:29
Ok sir. I get it. Thank you so much for your help.

Aug 23, 2012 10:48
good night
Aug 23, 2012 10:48
@DanielPietrobon ok brother. Thank you so much for your help.
Aug 23, 2012 10:32
Can you kindly gather these together and post it as answer, so that I will accept it.
Aug 23, 2012 10:31
Am a girl. :)
Aug 23, 2012 10:29
am i right?
Aug 23, 2012 10:29
only based on the second step, we add the remaining elements to the initial step.
Aug 23, 2012 10:29
the first step is the initial set of elements
Aug 23, 2012 10:29
to make it clear.
Aug 23, 2012 10:28
yes...thank you so much
Aug 23, 2012 10:28
we miss 6...
Aug 23, 2012 10:28
3,9,27,...
Aug 23, 2012 10:27
we will be missing certain elements
Aug 23, 2012 10:26
so, is it x+y always?
Aug 23, 2012 10:25
Yes.Also, why is it always x+y,...? Can't it be x*y or any other relations?
Aug 23, 2012 10:25
after 5, 5+2 for 7
Aug 23, 2012 10:24
once 3 comes in there, we can form 5 using 3+2,...so we can get multiples of 5 also...am I correct?
Aug 23, 2012 10:24
3,6,9,...
Aug 23, 2012 10:23
by giving multiples of 3
Aug 23, 2012 10:20
In the second example, it is given as both 2 and 3 because multiples of 2 or multiples of 3 alone doesn't make the set. So, initially they have given both. Am I correct?
Aug 23, 2012 10:17
@DanielPietrobon So, first time we take 3, then 3+3=6, then 3+6=9, then 9+6=15, etc. Am I correct?
Aug 23, 2012 10:16
yes sir. Thank you.
Aug 23, 2012 10:16
so, 3, 6, 9 ,12, etc
Aug 23, 2012 10:13
@DanielPietrobon now it has 3 and 6 sir
Aug 23, 2012 10:06
@DanielPietrobon But, they didn't mention that y is also 3, Sir.
Aug 23, 2012 10:06
@DanielPietrobon So, initially as they have mentioned 3 belongs to P, we take both x and y as 3. Am I right, Sir?
Aug 23, 2012 10:06
@DanielPietrobon How did they found that the set has multiples of 3 in example 1 and how to write the definitions in Example 2, Sir?

@AdamEberbach That's ok

@gentmatt thanks
Mar 22, 2012 14:48
@gentmatt Thanks. I would try that.

@pauska Yeah. I will ask in the main site. But, don't tell that I'm also one of the people who don't do any work on their own. I just had a couple of doubts and I needed clarification. Thats all. Thanks anyways.
Mar 22, 2012 14:46
@MDMarra I didn't know it actually. I'm new to this. You may have guided me. I didn't mean to bring disrespect.
Mar 22, 2012 14:43
Is this how you treat people when they ask you for help?
Mar 22, 2012 14:40
k thnx
Mar 22, 2012 14:39
I didn't ask you
Mar 22, 2012 14:37

Hi friends, I am currently doing a project in Matlab regarding liver segmentation. I used region growing for that. I need to compare the region growing method with any other method. Can you suggest me any segmentation method?(It must be worse than region growing)
