Did you try removing https? Do other TIO links work? I tried on mac (chrome and safari) and android and it works fine...

kolmogorov complexity challenges ask you to return a predetermined result (usually text), code golf is a more general term but usually refers to problem-solving code or at least code that takes some sort of input (I think your question can be fairly categorized as both)

Perhaps if challenge were modified to require handling of non-square boards (2nd example), that would give it enough originality to justify reopening

@BradC regarding the now removed second example, since only one iteration is required, it doesn't matter what happens to the blank cells because they'll never affect anything else.
