"An IDE normally consists of at least a source-code editor [...] IDEs initially became possible when developing via a console or terminal. Early systems could not support one, since programs were submitted to a compiler or assembler via punched cards, paper tape, etc." (wiki, again)

Adequate perhaps but not "integrated".
Apr 18 12:49
Well, integrated = you can edit directly? Screen & keyboard seems like a minimum requirement.

@Graham we are discussing hand-held canisters.
Jan 19 19:15
@Graham I have never heard of a gas camping stove exploding. I believe it is not possible (except in extreme circumstances such as a slow leak inside a closed space). I am, sadly, somewhat knowledgeable about leaking seals, though, and they are not very dangerous, only annoying.
Jan 19 19:15
@Graham as per the link way above, ppl are using this gas for cooking. How is OPs question different? Silly comparison you are making.
Jan 19 19:15
But is that really a possibility? It seems like saying a bridge might fail. Sure, it could happen. It does happen, but the proportion of bridges that fail is tiny. (I mean using a handheld cartridge, as we are discussing.)
Jan 19 19:15
@bob1 even on cheap gas stoves the line and the valve appear solid, I doubt they could break from pressure in a bottle. And the reason high energy welding gas is not generally used to heat food and boil water is probably mainly because of cost, not because it does not work?
Jan 19 19:15
And there are two links. They both wrong?
Jan 19 19:15
Ok but does it matter... just use an even lower setting?
Jan 19 19:15
e.g. Campingmoon Camping Propane Stove Adapter suggests it is not a crazy idea.
Jan 19 19:15
Speaking generally, doesnt higher pressure just mean you use a lower setting?

I have to agree this doesn's really address the question. The key point seems to be the number of African females imported into the Ottoman empire.

"When development started in November 1989, Windows NT was to be known as OS/2 3.0, the third version of the operating system developed jointly by Microsoft and IBM. [...] Windows 3.0 was eventually so successful that Microsoft decided to change the primary application programming interface for the still unreleased NT OS/2 (as it was then known) from an extended OS/2 API to an extended Windows API. This decision caused tension between Microsoft and IBM and the collaboration ultimately fell apart." (wiki)

Because it is not question-answer, it is mistaken pseudo-question - irrelevant musings. But whatever, we can leave it up and see if anything happens. And the voting seems fairly random in many cases.
Nov 17, 2022 16:59
Yes I agree. I'm losing interest in this quickly now. I'm sure there will not be a useful answer, If you delete your answer I will delete the question.
Nov 17, 2022 16:55
Hmm, ok, good point. But I still don't see how palmpc.com fits into HP/Lotus Palmtop development, as they had several other similar tools. It doesn't even seem to better in any way.
Nov 17, 2022 16:29
Oh and btw again, a lot of the stuff on SUPER are DOS command line tools. I think there may be one or two actual SMC/PAL applications.
Nov 17, 2022 16:04
No but do they use 0x5F?
Nov 17, 2022 16:03
It wasn't for running Palmtop apps.
Nov 17, 2022 16:03
So why did Win CE / PocketDOS support 0x5F graphics?
Nov 17, 2022 15:19
I still believe this was not meant for the HP Palmtop, and the only other candidate I can see is the MS Palm PC.
Nov 17, 2022 15:19
That does not mean this program was for HP, as there are several other tools that still work. And, no, there was not a fairly large selection. Start by naming one.
Nov 17, 2022 15:19
It is the simplest explanation. It was not for HP Palmtop. What else is there.
Nov 17, 2022 15:19
There is still the fact that WinCE apparently uses 5F for the same purpose. The term Palmtop can be general, it is not necessarily the HP/Lotus product. The phrase "Palm PC emulator" is from the web site.

`The term "assembler" is generally attributed to Wilkes, Wheeler and Gill in their 1951 book The Preparation of Programs for an Electronic Digital Computer, who, however, used the term to mean "a program that assembles another program consisting of several sections into a single program".' (wiki)

distinguish between programs that run on any "x86" processor, and those that "require a 386"
Feb 17, 2021 16:50
And it is not "surgery", it is visual identification, from pictures.
Feb 17, 2021 16:50
@NathanWheeler 1. and? 2. yes, it is DOS, or Win shell, or OS/2 shell, it is like a "family" of OSs 3. no, thank god.
Feb 17, 2021 16:50
distinguish between programs that run on any "x86" processor, and those that "require a 386"
Feb 17, 2021 16:50
It is not vague. There are mulitple files called something.exe, some are 16-bit and some are 32-bit. I want a quick and simple way to tell which is which, like the file command.
Feb 17, 2021 16:50
@user3840170 it used to say just "DOS" but then ppl derailed into long winded explanations of how Windows is not DOS.
Feb 17, 2021 16:50
@another-dave: there are programs that do not run on 16-bit processor, or "require 386".

Jan 27, 2021 22:46
the Pi appears
Jan 27, 2021 22:45
I mean logged in to the router and checked if it appears
Jan 27, 2021 22:45
How do you know the wireless does not connect? Have you checked the router?

There seems to be some EU requirement to register within 30 days, which I was not aware of, and which does not seem to have any great relevance. That is all.
Jul 21, 2020 14:26
I had the impression you started the sub-discussion.
Jul 21, 2020 14:26
And I never heard of any 1 or 2 weeks either. In Germany you need the Meldebestaetigung to sign contract, open bank account, etc. Nobody else cares how long you wait before doing that.
Jul 21, 2020 14:26
@Relaxed check the link five comments up.
Jul 21, 2020 14:26
Also, you have 90 days to register (in theory). It does not mean you cannot stay longer.
Jul 21, 2020 14:26
@sygi lots of people live in one EU country and work in another. There will not be any problems moving and registering if you are employed elsewhere in EU. There may be taxation difficulties if there are no treaties, but that is probably unlikely.

Feb 14, 2020 16:30
@Alex the question is about personal combat. Peter was the ruler, call it what you want. Charles was killed by a cannon shot (most likely) during a siege. He fought personally several times, but 1713 may have been the last.
Feb 14, 2020 16:30
@MoisheKohan ok. It seems unlikely, but not impossible I guess. The Swedish sources do not mention anything like that (of course).
Feb 14, 2020 16:30
@Gangnus he did not fight personally.
Feb 14, 2020 16:30
@Gangnus question says "actively engaged in combat", which Peter of Russia (I believe) was not.
Feb 14, 2020 16:30
@Gangnus the German wiki page says Colonel, but he was the overall commander. I still don't believe he fought personally.
Feb 14, 2020 16:30
@MoisheKohan The English version says he commanded the fleet. Or is that what you mean? He commanded in other battles also, I believe, but the question is about fighting personally.
