Today my G Chrome was retested automatically. All my bookmarks and extensions were all gone. Is there any way to get everything back? I did signed in again but nothing happened!

I need some help with Google Chrome. Anyone?
Sep 22, 2013 20:13
@Sammy Actually I have HP dv4 1133tx
Sep 22, 2013 20:04
@Sammy Oh! Thanks! I didn't knew that.
Sep 22, 2013 20:04
@Sammy Thanks for the info!
Sep 22, 2013 19:58
@Psycogeek Okay. I got it. Thanks for helping!
Sep 22, 2013 19:56
@Psycogeek Okay. Actually I don't want full HD res. I just want a minimum resolution of 1280x800. But I guess if I am buying a new monitor, I might try for HD.
Sep 22, 2013 19:53
@Sammy Intel.
Sep 22, 2013 19:51
@Psycogeek So I must get a monitor with lesser resolution? I mean it depends entirely on my GPU. If my GPU supports full 1920x1080 I can get a full HD monitor.
Sep 22, 2013 19:48
@Psycogeek How to find if a monitor is 1-1 pixels native with HDMI?
Sep 22, 2013 19:47
@Sammy Okay. So I can easily get my current resolution of 1280x800 on any external monitor without any problem if connected via HDMI?
Sep 22, 2013 19:45
@Psycogeek Okay. One more thing I want to know is that is it possible to connect HD monitor? My screen resolution is 1280x800
Sep 22, 2013 19:42
@Boris_yo Not sure!
Sep 22, 2013 19:40
@Psycogeek So if I want to connect an external monitor, I must connect it digitally via HDMI. Is there any other way to connect digitally?
Sep 22, 2013 19:38
@Sammy Okay. So how the laptop's display is connected? Is it digital?
Sep 22, 2013 19:37
VGA provides digital output. Isn't it?
Sep 22, 2013 19:35
@Sammy No. I don't have any overheating problem.
Sep 22, 2013 19:33
@Psycogeek Yes! I do have an HDMI port and a VGA (Dsub 15-pin) port.
Sep 22, 2013 19:32
@Psycogeek Do you mean HDMI?
Sep 22, 2013 19:31
@Psycogeek Yes.
Sep 22, 2013 19:31
@Psycogeek The resolution of external monitor I use was low around 1048x800. It was an old CRT monitor. Connected using the VGA cable that came with monitor.
Sep 22, 2013 19:29
@Psycogeek No there is no overheating problem. Its just the display. My GPU and RAM works perfectly fine.
Sep 22, 2013 19:27
@Sammy Yes the line is 1280 px wide. The line is not annoying but the flickering screen is! Also if the flickering increases or multiple lines show up I will have to do something. So I am planning to remove the screen i.e. only the display panel from the lid. If I can remove the whole thing from hinges it would be great. I think getting a replacement would be very hard and expensive! And my laptop stays on my desk all the time so there is no question of transportation!
Sep 22, 2013 19:24
@Psycogeek External monitor has no problem. Its just the internal screen.
Sep 22, 2013 19:23
@Sammy No but I tried with an old external monitor of my desktop.
Sep 22, 2013 18:55
I have a four and a half year old HP Pavillion dv4 laptop. Today, I saw a thin 1px red horizontal line on the near top of my laptop screen. The line sometime changes to light blue. I tried connecting an external monitor and found that the problem is with the hardware. After a while display started to flicker a bit.
The graphics works fine and drivers are updated too. I know that this is a problem with the display(hardware).

I am thinking of getting rid of the display as I don't think that taking my laptop to HP support would be of any help. So is it possible to connect an external display
Feb 15, 2012 07:23

Feb 15, 2012 07:19

Feb 15, 2012 07:17
I was thinking of keeping a bag full of ice below the laptop...but i fear that moisture can do some damage to my laptop..
Feb 15, 2012 07:17
is there any way to cool the laptop?
Feb 15, 2012 06:58
@Sathya but after 2 hours it stays around 61c and hdd temperature around 55c....is it dangerous??
Feb 15, 2012 06:57
