@Levente I actually don't think it's a good idea to edit spam. Flagging it is better as the spam filters when re-enabled/if the strike ends, will learn what is spam from their content. I'm not sure they look into posts' history and learn from that.
> [...] Given these concerns, it seems reasonable to consider instituting a temporary ban on ChatGPT and similar AI technologies on Ask Ubuntu and other sites within the Stack Exchange network. This would allow the community to more fully assess the risks and benefits of using these technologies, and to determine the appropriate guidelines and policies for their use, if any. [...]
Welcome to AskUbuntu. There will generally be some reasons for the crash written to the system log. This can be accessed via the GUI with the Logs application, or via Terminal in /var/log/syslog. If you could edit your question to include some of the relevant logs, it may be possible to help identify the issue. If you could also include some information about your computer (brand, specs, etc.) and whether this is a new installation of Ubuntu or one you've used for a while, it may offer context ππ» — matigo10 hours ago
@ArturMeinild Maybe I'm being pedantic, but I think it's better to keep the tags' description more objective. The ubuntu-unity tag's description sounds like a sales pitch. π
not gonna lie, I don't completely hate snap. They did give me the opportunity to install packaged apps that I otherwise would have had to manage to upgrade myself.
not according to this article: https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/08/first-ubuntu-22-04-point-release-delayed-until-august-11 It seems it's been delayed a week
For example, this would be useless promotion whether it's true or not Q- How do I do X in UBuntu. A- Install Ubuntu on AWS, and you can do X by running Z
@Grasshopper yes, it is a possibility. For me, running apt update && apt upgrade was enough to solve the issue (connected the laptop with a wired connection to do that). You can try USB tethering as well from your phone if you can do that. But as Jouneyman Geek said, you will find a lot of these question on the site about this issue and how to solve it. It may differ from one driver to another.
@Welz You can get better support if you ask a question about this. Just link to that answer in your question and mention what you tried in case you have a different issue.
@Natty I flagged this as spam, then retracted it. I'm unsure what needs to be done here, to be honest. But the link is spam; the content may be just "bot created" that mistook the question as "How to remove snap?" instead of "How to remove ~/snap?"
Is there anything that can be done about questions that keeps getting bumped by the community user but can't be fixed/answered anymore such as this one askubuntu.com/posts/394504/revisions ?
