My very preliminary idea was to imitate Puzzling SE's style of nominating Best Puzzles of this Quarter in a meta thread where they have rules alleviating unwanted outcomes like excessive self-promotion. Maybe this is something that can be developed into a workable proposal?

@amWhy I don't know how to explain the large number of identical identicons but I've found little evidence that they are related in any way. By definition, they should all have roughly the same membership time since the IDs are sorted by time. FYI I checked the first 100 accounts beginning with 95.

@MarkL.Stone It can be annoying when excessively done (such as bumping 10-20 questions at the same time) but I think SecretAgentMan has been doing it in moderation. In fact, there is particular merit to remove salutations from old and unanswered questions to give them a chance of being answered.

@NikeDattani @Tyberius It may be worth posting on meta an interest check on a Discord server for matter modelling enthusiasts, similar to this. Discord has a feature where members can organise live presentations/discussions as well as chat, which may be of use as this discipline is a rapidly emerging one.
