@Seth I wish I could speak more openly to you... but that'll lead to complicated consequences. I hope you'll get to know more details as time passes :) — Random Person 7 hours ago

@ThomasWard Had it gotten dismantled at some point? I'm pretty behind the times I guess
Jul 25, 2022 00:36
I must have missed that email come through
Jul 25, 2022 00:36
@ThomasWard wait how long have you been on the CC? Congrats!
Jul 24, 2022 19:13
@terdon it does seem like said companies aren't getting much out of this
Jul 4, 2022 06:42
@Zanna Congratulations!

We should either edit and update the "dupe" target (which isn't the best target imo) or reopen this Q and give it a proper answer, imo
May 2, 2022 05:20
Or at least, it wasn't a few years ago.
May 2, 2022 05:19
@AskUbuntuMeta Asking how to edit the wiki seems like a reasonable question. It's not publicly editable anymore, unlike a lot of wikis.
Dec 29, 2021 02:16
Looks like their only contributions have been links to supergrubdisk
Dec 26, 2021 19:45
Ah, they're from Stack Overflow. It all makes sense :P
Dec 26, 2021 18:52
eek

"What is a man page?" should be your first question. AKA: RTFM (Read The F…ine Manual) — Jürgen A. Erhard 1 min ago

or even remote it. it's just a dead blog.
Dec 12, 2021 23:10
@mickmackusa For example, here you might try to find an updated page on brother's website or link to the wayback machine if there isn't an updated link. For the dead blog link, probably just give it a strikethrough or a note saying its dead.
Dec 12, 2021 23:08
it's probably very dependent on what the link is tbh
Nov 14, 2021 18:40
@Zanna awesome, thanks!!
Nov 14, 2021 01:27
@Zanna that's helpful, I mostly wanted to replace this one tho: i.sstatic.net/ji2Hfm.png
Nov 13, 2021 16:12
I don't have an ubuntu box handy at the moment.
Nov 13, 2021 16:12
would someone be able to update the one screenshot in my answer here askubuntu.com/a/738752/44179 with a newer one showing libera.chat instead of freenode?

@Zanna that whole thing happened right near the end of 2019. Created a lot of cognitive dissonance in my mind. All my knowledge of that user, interactions, etc all to end on that one strange (to me) hangup. Turns out it was only a tiny forbearing of the absolutely massive amount of cognitive dissonance 2020 would bring...
Nov 9, 2021 06:23
@Algnis It's okay! Now you know :)
Nov 7, 2021 19:30
All the questions you asked about apply to any other tag you'd want to create as well. AWS? Sure, that's clearly a giant subject that would have subject matter experts that want to filter for AWS questions. Prime video? I don't see it.
Nov 7, 2021 19:29
I think you misunderstand. I think nuking is good. I question the need to replace it at all, however.
Nov 7, 2021 19:26
Is it such an issue that we would have subject matter "experts" following the tag specifically to help out with prime video issues? (what would those look like?)
Nov 7, 2021 19:26
I'm not sure we need a prime video tag. How many questions do we have right now that you would tag with it?
Nov 7, 2021 19:19
@cocomac I probably just wouldn't. (Is that still a feature?)
Nov 7, 2021 18:00
The goal was never to replace apt, just provide an easier way for the more cli-shy users
Nov 7, 2021 17:37
That's not really something you can work around.
Nov 7, 2021 17:37
the same thing that would happen if you ran an apt install and there wasn't a package for your release?
Nov 7, 2021 17:32
@Zanna To circle back to this: that's kinda why I brought it up. we may decide that the need to change the icon isn't really important anymore.
Nov 7, 2021 17:29
@Zanna ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nov 7, 2021 17:28
that or they just dont tell you they're audits anymore? lol
Nov 7, 2021 17:27
Strange, I haven't
Nov 7, 2021 17:26
(did they change how audits work? 16 reviews and not a single audit. spooky)
Nov 7, 2021 17:24
@muru eeee. Maybe Zanna could talk to them about that. The 2nd one isn't too bad, but those should really be comments.
Nov 7, 2021 17:22
@Zanna ooh, I forgot you could do that! love that feature
Nov 7, 2021 17:20
@Zanna oh cool
Nov 7, 2021 17:20
Also I'm not really around enough to be familiar with the user to know precisely what you mean.
Nov 7, 2021 17:19
@Zanna That's probably beyond my purview as a normal user now :)
Nov 7, 2021 17:17
@muru I'll fix it and ping the user.
Nov 7, 2021 17:16
@BeastOfCaerbannog I'm always in general, but I don't click "rejoin favorite rooms" as much as I used to.
Nov 7, 2021 17:15
@Zanna ohhh. Hah, fair point. I don't think it's changed since the first time? But I don't use Ubuntu regularly right now so I wouldn't know.
Nov 7, 2021 17:15
Thanks for bringing that to my attention
