Are you good @MathieuGuindon? The last time I was here, you were changing jobs. Everything OK with that?
Feb 3, 2023 23:50
I need to clone, haven't cloned in forever.
Feb 3, 2023 23:45
Would love to contribute to v3
Feb 3, 2023 23:44
Heh, ok... I can work with that.
Feb 3, 2023 23:42
So I could write an LSP client in Altair BASIC?
Feb 3, 2023 23:41
Hmm, ok. interesting...
Feb 3, 2023 23:39
Are there v3 issues I could pick up?
Feb 3, 2023 23:39
heh lol
Feb 3, 2023 23:38
Yep, agreed. I'm also sure that Wayne wouldn't intentionally eat our lunch. He's a friendly.
Feb 3, 2023 23:34
@this I agree - I just worry that tb might replace RD
Feb 3, 2023 23:31
downloading
Feb 3, 2023 23:30
main, or prerelease?
Feb 3, 2023 23:28
It's just a COM call IIUC...
Feb 3, 2023 23:27
I do worry though, that RD could spend a bunch of time to make v3, then Wayne just hijacks Alt-F11 t load the twinBASIC IDE...
Feb 3, 2023 23:26
A "Definition of Done" lol
Feb 3, 2023 23:25
Do you have an idea of features / timelines?
Feb 3, 2023 23:24
OK, will try to get back into the pond soon.
Feb 3, 2023 23:23
@MathieuGuindon do you need troops to help make v3?
Feb 3, 2023 23:22
Because I'm insane.
Feb 3, 2023 23:22
I'm so looking forward to the tB IDE going up onto GitHub. I'm itching to make a retro version that looks just like the VS6 IDE.
Feb 3, 2023 23:20
But RD is made for VB programmers. Would be great to get them involved. tB is a short hop-step away from VB.

Feb 3, 2023 23:18
@MathieuGuindon how goes v3?
Feb 3, 2023 23:18
But nice work
Feb 3, 2023 23:17
well, that's as it should be. COM is an ABI, after all.
Feb 3, 2023 23:16
nice
Feb 3, 2023 23:15
there's an AppContext now. Not sure of the details.
Feb 3, 2023 23:14
nice. overdue.
Feb 3, 2023 23:14
heh ok, so it's all separate?
Feb 3, 2023 23:12
net core solves this?
Feb 3, 2023 23:12
oh. yeah.
Feb 3, 2023 23:11
ok, makes sense
Feb 3, 2023 23:10
ooh, ok
Feb 3, 2023 23:10
yep
Feb 3, 2023 23:09
ofc
Feb 3, 2023 23:07
Hey Mug!
Feb 3, 2023 23:07
Uhm, I know what those words mean. But I don't know what they mean in the sequence you used them? Could you explain it like I'm 6?
Feb 3, 2023 23:05
Very impressive
Feb 3, 2023 23:02
Although I guess that should already be accommodated by COM interop. Still, I can see opportunities for closer integration.
Feb 3, 2023 22:59
I think it would also be nice to go the other way.
Feb 3, 2023 22:58
oh sorry, you're looking to host WPF in tB?
Feb 3, 2023 22:56
I'm mostly a .Net developer, and mostly services within that. Which means console apps using GenericHostBuilder. So I'm used to shortcuts like app.AddWPF(). I think you need to get to the point where tB integration is just app.AddTwinBasic()
Feb 3, 2023 22:54
woah... that's nice.
Feb 3, 2023 22:50
I saw you mention it, not sure what you had planned lol
Feb 3, 2023 22:47
But, is it ready? And what about licensing for x64?
Feb 3, 2023 22:44
So... my immediate question would be... Should we write the front-end in twinBASIC? Not having to deal with COM interop could save a bajillion memory leaks...
Feb 3, 2023 22:40
holy shit... just read the first page. LSP IS HAPPENING!!!
Feb 3, 2023 22:37
no, been a bad duck
Feb 3, 2023 22:36
nice!!!
Feb 3, 2023 22:36
v3? (hopes...)
Feb 3, 2023 22:35
I have to apologise to the pond... I've been far too busy with life /work / twinBASIC. What did I miss?
