Even though some people had similar "platforms", there would be differing responses (votes) to those answers

Last year the votes seemed to indicate how people would vote in the actual election

I think it's interesting how the meta q&a responses basically tell you the results of the election. Most people on those seem to vote for the person, not the post

It has ideologies: Autocracy, Freedom, and Order. I believe they affect governance less, but they're there

@Shog9 true but if you think some of the existing candidates would do at least as good a job as yourself, that lessens the impact of you running (also, the potential for vote splitting to allow a lesser candidate to win)...

I was thinking...obviously Disney wouldn't bother to bring back a major section of the EU, but most of the thrawn trilogy would still be compatible if they wanted to. They would obviously have to change the birth of the twins to the birth of Ren, accelerate Luke & Mara's relationship (if Rey is indeed his daughter, otherwise you can keep whoever else is OR just make her a child of one of Luke's other relationships that Luke doesn't really know about).
