@Caleb The site is getting a lot of questions, but it seems that a lot of the regulars aren't as active anymore answering questions. That is what I mostly meant by activity being down.
@Caleb DA chat is even more dead than the Meta. I think participation in general is down on the site, hence less voting. My time on the site has been limited pretty much to moderation, and quick reads of questions. The quality of questions has also gone down.
@Letharion A user submitted an issue on my mobile_detect module, drupal.org/node/2297045 The root cause is that page manager doesn't support grouping that way he needs. I have a workaround.
@DanielMiladinovich Yeah, any time you have problems with dates, the first thing to check is whether they are related to timezones. I hate working with dates.
@Letharion Hmmm, I guess it doesn't mess up the packager script then. I think my other thing to think about is that I don't really want to commit non-working things when I go between machines. Maybe I will just dropbox everything.
OK, topic for chat. I have a module on drupal.org. I also have two machines that I do development on. What do people do to keep repos in sync with each other, including test branches, but to not pollute the drupal.org repo with those branches?
@Letharion They all work the same. The AU site just has more rooms active right now, mostly user-created rooms. We get user rooms periodically (I think mainly from comments converted to chats), but they get deleted after X days of inactivity.
I did have a very weird problem several weeks ago with bad requests from Amazon AWS with making image style derivatives, but I think those were 400 errors.
@Letharion I don't do a lot of direct work with reverse proxies. Once of my clients does, and they use https, but I think it is one of the enterprise grade Cisco load balancers.
Any PhpStorm users here? I installed the 7.1 update yesterday, and lost a whole bunch of deployment settings, and had to disable/enable Drupal support to get it to pick up my installation. Not sure if this was just me or a general problem.
@Letharion @Mołot The PHP version discussions for Drupal 6 (and friends) are in the mega thread where everyone was fighting about the min version for Drupal 8.
@Letharion It was a beginner's level presentation just to raise awareness about Drupal Answers. My boss wanted me to do a presentation, but I had trouble coming up with a decent topic that others could relate to, and not violate any confidentiality agreements with clients. A DA presentation geared to wards beginners was pretty easy.
@KaushikTD This is more for talking about Drupal and discussing problems that aren't a good fit for the main site's Q&A format. No need to post links to questions here.
