FWIW: bash is the defacto standard shell these days. Most (probably all) juniors you might hire will prefer bash over zsh. Have you looked at ways to provide the same functionality via bash so that your developers can just choose?

@ToddWilcox I'd say you need to trust in your coworkers to do their job adequetely, and also trust in your managers to pay attention to who does good work. Without those, you may as well find a new position or you will inevitably by over worked by picking up the slack.

-1 for "Getters/setters as bad as plain public fields. There is no difference really." You couldn't be more wrong. If client code uses a setter instead of just setting a plain field, you can easily change the underlying datatype or add validation without the client code being aware of it. You can't do that with a public field!

+1 to Laconic Droid. I advise you to seek professional therapy. Discuss the issue, discuss potential treatments, follow through (pardon the pun) with therapy/treatments offered, and hopefully get better.
