@fixer1234,I write to you,to try to improve my question
Jun 28 23:54
fixer1234,can you please take a look to my question "how to keep using Windows 10 after October 2025"

Sep 21, 2019 12:37
@fixer1234,yes,the alerts works.See you next time,have a nice day.Sorry if I disturbed you
Sep 15, 2019 11:45
@fixer1234,I did not mean that there is a limitation to the number of browsers, I just wanted to say that 3 browsers are enough. I had good answers, especially from Gimp-forum. If you are interested, I send you the links. For now I follow the advice that I it has been given, which I think is wise, that is, first I try to get to know Gimp better, then maybe I'll download the extensions, even if I'd be curious to see them
Sep 13, 2019 00:28
@fixer1234,Curiosity about browsers and search engines that are not data miners. Do you use Windows or Linux? I can't install Chromium on Windows because I already have 3 browsers, but can I use StartPage and what else can I use?Did you try to use Tor?
Aug 31, 2019 00:48
@fixer1234,do you have experience with cloud services for PCs and smartphones? I've read enough about it, but I can't figure out which ones are the most reliable
Aug 24, 2019 01:21
@fixer1234,what I write,using Google Translate, is always correct?Sometimes I have some doubts
Aug 24, 2019 01:14
@fixer1234,Give me your opinion , please, on Gd I was given an answer, what was the need to report(flag) it?the boundary between in-topic and off-topic is not too thin?
Aug 24, 2019 01:10
@fixer1234,This forum is so small that one of the administrators answered. He gave me, in my opinion, a wise advice that is to learn Gimp first as it is. I used Photoshop for a while, but Gimp is different, so it's better to get familiar. But it is also true that by default there are, for example, 30 filters but in the end they use only a few. If I manage to take confidence, it will take time, then I can think of extending it, since I now know how to do it.
Aug 23, 2019 21:32
@fixer1234,from my point of view, Graphic Design is a specialized site. The questions relating to the software used, which they know very well, are not welcome. I have tried to change the question, as requested, but I don't think anyone has taken it into consideration. However, xenoid had given an answer, which he declared to be inappropriate. The answers (opinions) I received may be at odds, so I prefer to keep (-1) and next time, if there is, I will try to follow their directions
Aug 23, 2019 00:35
@fixer1234,Which search engines do you use? DuckDuckGo, StartPage, for example. My question in GD has been forgotten. I asked a question in "gimp-forum" and in a few hours I received 2 answers. Then I will tell you, because now it's a bit late
Aug 20, 2019 00:33
@fixer1234,we'll read it next time, it's late for me.Good night
Aug 20, 2019 00:21
@fixer1234,what do you mean "avoid data miners, like Google"?Don't you use Chrome or Chromium,Google Maps,Google Translate etc.
Aug 19, 2019 23:53
@fixer1234,I don't use social media, but slowly I feel sucked into the web, for work, for fun, etc. You can't run away anymore. Do you agree?
Aug 19, 2019 23:47
@fixer1234,It has a "Gimp Extension" section, when I have time I will try to post a question. Another registration, another name, etc. I don't know how many I have. Usually I try to stay on Stackexchange, but sometimes it's not enough
Aug 19, 2019 23:32
@fixer1234,This is a forum about Gimp, one of many. It's not the forum of the Gimp organization, they don't have forums
Aug 19, 2019 22:34
@fixer1234, I also saw it on the "xenoid" profile there is a reference to "gimp-forum.net", so I was thinking of posting a question to try to clarify my doubts about Partha's version. It would have been better to have a chat room, but I don't think that's the case. What do you think?
Aug 19, 2019 22:32
@fixer1234,I hope not to get bored by continuing to talk about my doubts about Gimp. Anyway, after modifying my question about GD, I didn't get any feedback. I was hoping to get opinions from others, but nothing. If you saw my post on GD, you also saw that "xenoid" gave me some advice. As I said, the recommended version is a modified version, so I doubt that reading General Installation Instruction on the Partha website.
Aug 19, 2019 00:06
@fixer1234,what do you mean "what's another topic in this"?
Aug 18, 2019 13:16
@fixer1234,do you mean to invite "xenoid" on this chat room?
Aug 18, 2019 01:22
@fixer1234,If you've read the "xenoid" answer, there are 3 types of Gimp add-ons: scripts, python and compiled plugins. I've read enough but haven't figured out what they are, where to find them and what they do. I don't know where to look anymore, where would you look? It doesn't seem strange that it's so hard to find them.Good night
Aug 18, 2019 01:04
@fixer1234,Our programs are out of phase, because I am Italian, it should be a 6/7 hour difference. BTW, what kind of engineer are you? As for Gimp reading the Partha website, this is a version that has been modified by him, so would you trust him? What do you think of: File Association - Remove all references to the software you are installing from the registry and then use Windows to associate this version with your desired image formats.I don't want to touch the registry
Aug 17, 2019 13:51
@fixer1234,clearly Partha's version is more complete, so I am undecided. I try to wait if I get a reply
Aug 17, 2019 13:43
@fixer1234,So, on the Partha website- partha.com/- I read the installation instructions, which give me to think 1) remove the previous build 2) the computer could ask for the administrator password (which I don't have) 3) remove the software references from the registry. In this situation, would you try to install it? Or I would have an option to update Gimp and download the plugins separately, only the most important ones.To be sure not to create problems for my new Windows.
Aug 17, 2019 13:24
@fixer1234,as you know I just installed Windows, but the Gimp version is out of date, so I should update it. Then I looked for a tool that I used often with Photoshop, so I asked the question about GD-graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/127678/… xenoid advised me to use the Partha version, which already includes several plugins (which are not easy to install).
Aug 17, 2019 01:50
@fixer1234,as I said,probably I can use a Gimp version,with plugins,that has been suggested.What I don't know is if I have first to uninstall the old version,or I can download the new version.I'm waiting an answer.Now it's very late for me,have a good night
Aug 17, 2019 01:35
@fixer1234,I found a Gimp brother,I read that it has an user friendly interface,if you want take a look: krita.org/en
Aug 17, 2019 01:29
,"shoot the breeze" cannot be translated with Google Translate, but I found the right one. Thanks, I learned a new word. About my question, I modified it, but it does not fit their guidelines. In these site,as you said, you can ask,for example, how to create a particular effect. But,from my point of view,if I don't have the correct software, brush, filter etc.how can I do?Now I wait what happen with the modified question, but, probably I can use a version, with plugins,of Gimp that has been suggested.
Aug 17, 2019 01:29
,from the answer I received, it's not so easy. If I can't ask the experts for advice, how can I do it?
Aug 17, 2019 01:29
,hi,sorry if I'm still bothering you, I posted a question "Gimp 2.10 plugins for Windows 10", on "S.R", but I didn't receive any answers. So I saw GraphicDesign and asked the same question, I received an answer, then, honestly I don't know why, I received -1 and the invitation to change the question. I'm just trying to find plugins for Gimp, but it's really difficult. Could you, please, take a look and tell me how you would change the question,if you fill like it.Thank you
Aug 17, 2019 01:29
,I posted a question on "Software Recommendations",now I wait what happens.Thank you for your advice
Aug 17, 2019 01:29
,hi,whenever I disturb you, I have Gimp 2.10.10 with Windows 10, I know there are plugins, brushes etc. do you know something? I found a paid version on SourceForge but I'd like to know if there are others and that they must work and be safe, so I don't know how or where to install them, do you think can I open a question?I tried to find informations but it's not easy,I don't understand why.I want to say I don't want to mess up otherwise I keep Gimp as it is.Thank you
Aug 17, 2019 01:29

Aug 17, 2019 01:29

Aug 17, 2019 01:29

Jun 27, 2019 00:36
@fixer1234,see you the next time. Now,as you know, for me it's too late.Good night
Jun 27, 2019 00:28
@fixer1234,sometimes I tried, looking at www.behance.net,to try understand and copy the images that I like,it's not easy, but it helped me to understand what can be done with different tools
Jun 27, 2019 00:16
@fixer1234,do you have Photoshop?do you mean retouching images?or what else?
Jun 26, 2019 23:55
@fixer1234,have you improved your confidence with Gimp?one of these night I'll try with an image what I can do
Jun 19, 2019 00:35
@fixer1234,you probably know it already,www.behance.net,here you can see really beautiful professional works. Now we have to study Gimp and Inkscape
Jun 18, 2019 15:26
@fixer1234,I want all the Photoshop tools, so I'll look for them in GIMP. You can, kindly, give me an opinion, I think it's not the case, ask a question to understand why you can't install CS5, or just Photoshop and Illustrator, with Windows 10 v1903.CS5 is very old,but how did it work with the version 1809?
Jun 18, 2019 00:51
@fixer1234,the interface of GIMP,which I used,it's very different from that of the current version, and is something else compared with Photoshop. If I can't get back to Photoshop,I'll try, step by step,to learn GIMP
Jun 18, 2019 00:32
@fixer1234,Yes,it's true that it takes a long time to learn Photoshop and Illustrator.Maybe ,it would be better to attend some courses to reach a good level.
