If a customer tries to 'run' an application, they obviously expect it to open. If it happens to be already opened in the sys tray, why wouldn't you restore it instead of apparently doing nothing (or worse, bombing out with the ever so friendly Error: xF5D06)
@Yannis, it isn't impossible, just harder. You can still flag things for moderators attention. For example, answers that should be comments, answers/questions that are offensive or spam, etc.
I see you assume someone can achieve that without reaching a level of insanity that would result in them being distracted trying rewrite the Linux kernel in LOLCODE++
@ZaphodBeeblebrox, I'll admit it, you lost me there. Are you suggesting I add a link to ...? Maybe the definition of code obfuscation? The link you provide there is the question I answered. As much as I enjoy recursion, I'm not sure it would help in this case ;)
Once your customer has a program they can run, they will be able to reverse engineer it given sufficient time & skill. That is just a fact of life.
If you really want to stop it, you should host and run the software yourself (SaaS)
Having said that, something like Python will be easier than...
@CRoss. Here-here! I wish all I had to do was think of what I wanted and poof! it's there - an optimized solution that is user friendly, secure, scalable and accounts for edge cases I didn't think of.
@DeadMG, the computer science major in my believes the gap is so small it is only theoretical, however the professional side of my thinks it is so huge it is practically insurmountably.
I think that is the only thing this question could have meant and that an edit to that effect makes it answerable (as per already answered too) and suitable to be moved to SO. Not sure if you would agree?
