@wheel58m One of the things I figured out yesterday was if you screw with the plist file in any way… at least on my system, no matter what I try, the dialogue to choose a note will always reappear
May 15, 2021 23:13
BUT… if you created both files on the Intel, then share of the applet to the M1… if you open the applet in script editor on the M1 and recompile , the values from the stored script Library will be stripped from the applet
May 15, 2021 23:10
Yes that is because when you load a script library and store it in property… the loaded script contents remain with the file so in theory, if you create both the script library and the applet on the Intel, then share that new applet with other computers, it should always work correctly
May 15, 2021 23:07
Is my newest version working 100% of the time on the Intel?
May 15, 2021 07:12
@wheel58m EUREKA!! I figured out a solution to all of our problems. I’m going to remove all the solutions from my post and I will just insert the final solution and other relative information. It all revolves around Version 1, since that is the version you prefer the most.
May 15, 2021 01:19
@wheel58m Have you tested VERSION 3 yet?
May 14, 2021 11:09
@wheel58m. Added Version 3
May 14, 2021 11:09
@wheel58m Have you granted full access privileges (everywhere you can) in System Preferences/Privacy/ (Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Full Disk Access, and Developer Tools) for “Project Note 2.app”
May 14, 2021 11:09
@wheel58m Try this… delete all other versions… then copy the code into a completely new Script Editor document and save it with a different name.(Don’t run it in Script Editor) Then close Script Editor. Then in Finder, run your new applet again with its initial set up routine… Quit Notes.app then run your new applet again. Let’s see what happens

Yes I am aware that I can “Paste Escaped Text” in Terminal, as it is a menu command already with an assigned keyboard shortcut. I originally wrote the code for escaping text while using script editor

Nov 16, 2020 18:27
For example, I created a button named “Escape Text” when pressed will take the highlighted text in Terminal which will insert escape characters where needed and places the new escaped text on your clipboard. What I did was create a text file containing several sed commands. In short, the original highlighted text gets copied and piped to sed which reads its command sequences from the text file then places the escaped text back to your clipboard to be pasted wherever needed

Dude it's totally insane

Has anybody been playing around with customizing the accessibility keyboard on macOS? It's pretty insane actually. I made a panel that activates while I'm using Terminal app. I have configured certain buttons to automatically insert text (my most used commands) and other buttons I have configured to run AppleScripts. Huge timesaver in the long run.

Fellow AppleScript enthusiasts... Be aware that if you upgrade to Mojave, any of your AppleScripts that depend on third-party scripting additions (For example.. Satimage, AppleScript toolbox etc,) Will no longer function correctly. AppleScript will no longer be able to access third-party scripting additions

@JBis you can't designate a progress bar simply to setting a variable... Because you're not doing anything withThe items themselves When you set the variable.. It's only when you do something with the the items of the variable that you can Display A progress bar..

Jul 30, 2018 14:44
You may want to add this To the code ... Commented out... If the user only wants The files of the main folderWhile ignoring files of subfolders
Jul 30, 2018 14:35
LOL I would prefer not to edit your post.. Just pointing out That sometimes it's easier taking Other possibilities into considerationBecause somebody else may want to use that code And they may have subfolders Containing media items And other types of files which need to be ignored as well

end tell

Jul 30, 2018 14:31
@JBis I made some adjustments to your code... The adjustments take into consideration if there are subfolders with media files and if there are other types of files other than media vfiles
