Yeah but you did put on your moderator hat after our belly-aching, so I'll let the compliment stand
Jul 5, 2019 11:18
Thanks. Moderating while eating dinner. That's dedication.
Jul 5, 2019 11:09
:p
Jul 5, 2019 11:09
I assume your silence means you're giving it serious consideration

Deputy mod for a day/run amok with ban hammer/etc, etc

Geek, I'll remind you of my standing offer

I already flagged as not an answer so can't flag again. @bertieb - can you custom flag it?

I guess we were asleep at the switch back in 2016 that we let that nonsense fly :) Downvoted and VTC'd that question now as well. Looks like they're working on their second question ban
May 5, 2019 04:07
I guess it's possible. Miracles do happen
May 5, 2019 04:01
They seem to be question banned all over the network and yet they never use their 1 question per 6 months wisely
May 5, 2019 04:01
:)
May 5, 2019 03:52
Very strange question
May 4, 2019 08:49
Roger that
Apr 26, 2019 11:00
Cool, thanks. People kept giving me upvotes even though my answer proved to be wrong. I don't like getting rep that way
Apr 26, 2019 10:53
Ugghh that question even hit HNQ
Apr 26, 2019 09:14
Looks like it did end up working on 20 GB
Apr 26, 2019 09:02
They're using it to study for the Home Server 2011 certification :p
Apr 26, 2019 09:01
Yep, rearm, rearm, rearm
Apr 26, 2019 08:55
It did strike me as odd that they were installing it in virtualbox, but I learned long ago not to bother asking why people are doing the things they're doing
Apr 26, 2019 08:37
Must not have been very popular with the masses
Apr 26, 2019 08:35
I don't even remember Home Server 2011 being a thing
Apr 26, 2019 08:32
That 160 GB requirement did seem suspicious. But still kind of surprised that it would still work with less than 20% of the requirement
Apr 26, 2019 08:30
Yeah, that error log they tried to sum up wasn't very helpful
Apr 26, 2019 08:29
I just wrote my answer based on the listed system requirements
Apr 26, 2019 08:29
OPs original 20 GB turned out to be adequate
Apr 26, 2019 08:28
But in this specific case, I don't know what would be the "correct answer"
Apr 26, 2019 08:27
Any advice for what to do if you wrote an answer that was accepted and then proves out to be wrong? Think I should delete it? superuser.com/questions/1429886/…

You shouldn't have to login to each site separately. I don't even have to login again after a reboot. Are you browsing incognito mode or something?
Feb 24, 2019 04:49
Yes
Feb 21, 2019 03:17
Hell, I don't know what anyone hopes to accomplish by spamming our site. It'll be a like a super local business in Detroit or something and maybe 5 people view the spam post before it gets deleted
Feb 21, 2019 03:15
Never said they were a shrewd businessman
Feb 21, 2019 02:46
Probably trying to build an audience so they can monitize
Feb 21, 2019 02:40
Same
Feb 16, 2019 02:15
That bad, huh? I actually don't remember seeing them, but I guess they all kind of just blend together at this point

It was that one marketing pitch sentence they threw in as part of their defense that still seemed a little suspicious
Feb 15, 2019 10:00
Geek was still kind of giving him the stiff one-eye when he said he didn't work for them XD

Apparently he was an innocent victim (maybe)
Feb 15, 2019 09:54
Yeah, there was a guy about a week ago who wandered in here after getting suspended for linking to spam sites
Feb 15, 2019 09:51
But the drive-by visitors who just joined today and link to a junk site, I hardly ever give them the benefit of the doubt
Feb 15, 2019 09:50
Yeah, hard to say about the accatech one. It might be spam. But then again, when you google issues you get all those junk fixit sites as results. Sometimes people just link to those regardless of how credible the site is
Feb 15, 2019 09:47
Nevermind. I need sleep

You will not be able to move your WIndows 8.1 OEM license into a Virtualbox VM. Windows will not activate.
