@S.Kuske no unfortunately not. I am currently using the xlwt modul which allows me to write *.xls files but I would like to use the new excel format in order to write some excel functions into the sheets

I am looking for a way to write *xlsx files via QGIS3. In the context menu, there is the option to do a "save as.. " for Excel sheets. However, I cant find the python lib which allows me to do it programmatically

does anybody know if there is a list of modules QGIS uses in its python distribution? I am working on a method to write excel files with a different module then xlwt and without the need to install extra modules via pip is this a valid question for gis.se or too broad?

I found, that in QGIS 2.18 you will still see a field even if you set the edit widget to "hidden". Does anybody faced the same problem so it's a candidate for a bug report or is it just me?

@PolyGeo: Out of curiosity why do you change the titles from "How to do stuff" in "Doing stuff". I 've seen this several times and was wondering which "rule" you apply or if this is just personal preference. ( I, by no means, mean this question offensive)

Can you indicate if you signed any documents which might have a clause stating the coasts ( as ridiculous as i seems to me that something like this could be allowed)

are you interested in yoga and if not does your boss know about it? This could help to make your point ( taking a book about a topic you are not interested is ridiculous )
