It's surprising how hot corded chargers like this get if covered by something: https://i.sstatic.net/H3QRddzO.png
My coat fell off of its hook and partially covered this charger. It was too hot to touch and seemed like a fire hazard.

I figure the smaller chargers that live right in the socket are likely safer. Less likely for something to cover/insulate it. https://i.sstatic.net/lygNJY9F.png

Does anyone know where I can find an analog electric kettle with preset temperatures? I figure an analog kettle wouldn't reset and would have a better button. Any ideas what words to Google?
Feb 8 20:00
I have an electric kettle that has preset temperate settings. homehardware.ca/en/… I use the kettle to bring water to 60 deg C for hot chocolate in my garage. I don't want the water any hotter than that. The kettle works, but it resets from 60 deg to 100 deg after each use, and the electronic button is finicky to use, especially with work gloves on. So the kettle ends up just annoying me.

I have a very basic math question. I'm wondering if someone could help by checking my work. I know it likely sounds like a homework question, but it isn't. I'm helping a family member who's getting into the prospecting business in Northern Ontario. Here it goes:

I have an open pit quarry that has an area of approx 1,000 metres squared (measured via a web map). The depth varies, but I estimate it is an average of 10 metres deep; measured via a measuring rope and a weight. I'm legally allowed to pump 50,000 litres per day. If I were to pump the maximum legal limit each day, how many days wou
