@furgius this is quite a big area. The problem is that within threat and risk analyses that would be properly evaluated. The question "which kind of other attacks can be done" is the wrong one. Almost every attack can be done, the question is how hard it is and how much incentive the hackers have.

Q: Can we hide the visitor stats until they're fixed?

HelmarAs detailed in this question there is currently a network-wide issue impacting the visitor, views and visits statistics resulting mostly in zero amounts. Since this doesn't seem to have a quick fix—it's been a month—I'd prefer to have the stat hidden for now on the front page of the beta sites. ...

That's always funny. South of Germany also always looks puzzled when in the northern parts everything breaks down after two centimeters of snow :D

Q: Grove relay 230V

JimmyDI purchased the Grove Relay v1.2 for my Arduino. Now on the official site it says the maximum switching voltage is 250VAC/30VDC. But on the relay itself it says 10A 250V~ | 15A 120VAC 10A 30V = | 7A 250VAC Can I connect a light that connects to the European power (230V) to the device or not?

Dec 21, 2018 15:42
is this something EE does?
Dec 21, 2018 15:41
Hi guys

Dec 3, 2018 11:46
You can have a look at meta.stackexchange.com and search for the community bot and bumping if you want to suggest improvements there.
Dec 3, 2018 11:46
@TheCoordinator That's a bot which bumps questions to the homepage. Moderators have no influence on the bot.
Dec 3, 2018 11:44
@TheCoordinator that's because I barely now anyone even by screen handle of the foundation. That's why I explicitly asked there for comments from the community.
Dec 3, 2018 11:40
SE is not interested in hosting any discussions or conversations.
Dec 3, 2018 11:39
Secondly SE is not a discussion forum. It's a question and answer site. That's where objectivity and references come in. SE does not want to facilitate discussions. SE wants to provide answers. So what you feel should be discussed might very well need to be discussed, however you should pick a forum, a discord or reddit for that.
Dec 3, 2018 11:38
Just clarifying a few things. Firstly, I do not suppress anything, I act when I notice stuff, I act when I handle user-generated flags. Then I assess based on SE quality standards. Any subjective answers or questions will be edited, commented on or closed/deleted.
Dec 2, 2018 12:38
@TheCoordinator Forgot the mention
Dec 2, 2018 12:37
No I'm not. I'm actually quite critical of the project. None the less your behavior on the site just doesn't meet SE quality standards of referencing sources or being objective.

Q: Let's Advertise with Community Ads!

HelmarNow that we're in Public Beta, it's time to start thinking of how to spread the word! Let's start this Beta off strong by creating our own ads. Forgive me as a I plagiarize a post from Internet of Things which was already plagiarized. So what are these "Community Ads?" Graduated sites allow the...

Would've been funnier if he meant the z in lazy :D

There are several information about beta progress scattered over meta
Feb 7, 2018 16:38
You're welcome, mind the date though

The metrics are evolving

A: Should we rename or remove the "beta" label?

Robert CartainoI've been a long-time proponent of removing the "beta" label when it no longer makes sense. I agree that labeling a site as "beta" creates a lot of confusion… and a certain stigma when it looks like a site is never going to <quote> "get out of beta." But let's be careful not to replace this sys...

Feb 7, 2018 16:32
@DavidVogel There are some—undisclosed—metrics that have to be there after about three weeks.
Feb 7, 2018 16:27
Currently we just need to create enough high-quality questions that the site looks viable to the Community Managers
Feb 7, 2018 16:26
That's to leave public beta
Feb 7, 2018 16:26
Anyways, we don't need to reach 10/day to leave private beta
Feb 7, 2018 16:26

@LeftyGBalogh No, it's possible
Feb 5, 2018 08:05
@Philipp Hey Philipp, I'm just a Community Moderator—a user—I can't help you with that. You can post it on Technical Communication Meta
Feb 4, 2018 18:28
@DavidVogel I'm more in the just curious category. Unfortunately I don't have any techcomm contacts
Feb 4, 2018 10:30
@LeftyGBalogh The gap analysis says "questions", it's a Q&A site, we need more questions to survive. If you know anyone interested just spread the word.
Feb 4, 2018 10:29
@LeftyGBalogh One, the closed one doesn't really count ;)
