Just adding some info which isn't an answer, in Indonesian, we called nurse (female) as "suster". While we called a nun as "suster" too. Which might be "kata serapan" from Hebrew. Ps: kata serapan means word translated from foreign language but having little reform of spelling, or pronounce.
