I don't fully understand the last paragraph: At sea level we have 21 kPa of oxygen in normal air, and at 12km atlitude with pure oxygen we have 20 kPa, so slightly less, it should be enough with pure oxygen? Isn't the positive pressure only to ensure that pilot doesn't breathe ambiant air at all in an emergency when he need his full control?
