@Nathaniel Yeah, and this particular example doesn't seem off-topic in either site, so I suppose it deserves an answer on both. It would be nice if we could link them somehow tho.

Q: Clarification regarding cross-posting rules

Kit SundeI asked one question over on skeptics.stackexchange.com about empirical evidence for programmer productivity. One user then prompted me that I'd have more luck over on programmers.stackexchange.com, so I cross posted there as it clearly fits both sites. I thought until very recently that it's no...

Sep 14, 2014 05:18
whooaaaa
Jun 12, 2013 23:19
yeah pretty cool
Jun 12, 2013 22:46
etc
Jun 12, 2013 22:46
like how Jesus is "The Word" or "Wisdom"
Jun 12, 2013 22:46
@El'endiaStarman holy cow my mind. You just made me think of several examples of how there's like alternate trinities to mirror the Trinity

Another random thought, I've always liked how chat rooms show cumulative rep. I look way cooler with 9k than 3k.
Jun 11, 2013 04:18
In other words, the very nature of Christianity is one of absolute truth - as opposed to the "in-context" or relativistic answers we're forced to give to stay in the vein of the definition of a "Christian" per the site.

Random thought I've been meaning to voice: one of the biggest struggles with this site is providing subjective answers on very objective questions.
Jun 11, 2013 03:13
@waxeagle hm.
Jun 11, 2013 03:12
@waxeagle sweeeet.
Jun 11, 2013 03:11
@waxeagle hm.
Jun 10, 2013 02:14
@waxeagle darn it all, why must we be practical?
Jun 10, 2013 02:11
@DavidStratton PROTECT ALL THE THINGS
Jun 8, 2013 23:25
@Jas3.1 yeah you can upload straight to imgur and then copy the link but it's generally better to upload through that picture button
Jun 6, 2013 02:58
@DavidStratton yeah nothing special just figured it wasn't a bad idea to have another trusted user in charge
Jun 6, 2013 00:39
@JonEricson oh okay. neat.
Jun 6, 2013 00:34
lol
Jun 6, 2013 00:34
I feel that is appropriate considering I am one. @mods feel free to undo. :)
Jun 6, 2013 00:30
@waxeagle ah nice
Jun 6, 2013 00:29
@waxeagle whoa cool
Jun 6, 2013 00:29
@waxeagle yeah true. I'm just super busy during school.
Jun 6, 2013 00:28
I really want to run but practically speaking a student mod doesn't feel like a good idea to me. Though @El'endiaStarman has shown otherwise.
Jun 6, 2013 00:28
ah okay
Jun 6, 2013 00:28
oh cool.
Jun 6, 2013 00:27
...in retrospect that sounds sketchy
Jun 6, 2013 00:26
Oh, so by this logic... a couple of us could run alongside the real candidates, helping secure votes and knocking worse candidates off. Then, in the final rounds, we drop out, forcing votes to be transferred to the good choices...
Jun 6, 2013 00:25
:P
Jun 6, 2013 00:25
@waxeagle come on, I know how to google too...
Jun 6, 2013 00:25
@waxeagle interesting
Jun 6, 2013 00:24
I'm not up to speed on all the fancy acronyms.
Jun 6, 2013 00:24
@waxeagle true. STV?
Jun 6, 2013 00:22
I can see this going badly if a bunch of fresh members get in on the voting
Jun 6, 2013 00:22
@waxeagle oh right, yeah.
Jun 6, 2013 00:21
@JonEricson okay, gotcha
Jun 6, 2013 00:20
@waxeagle so it starts from scratch then, as opposed to the yearly SO elections that just add on?
Jun 6, 2013 00:20
or would they just add new ones?
Jun 6, 2013 00:20
@JonEricson would elections get rid of the current mods?
Jun 6, 2013 00:20
@waxeagle okay cool.
Jun 6, 2013 00:19
@JonEricson wasn't my idea, if I remember right. But yeah it was fun choosing it. :) Thanks!
Jun 6, 2013 00:18
also, do we have a date for our first real-site elections? (or do those only come around if needed?)
Jun 6, 2013 00:13
....aaaand i just saw what you edited out
