Thanks!
Apr 15, 2013 12:24
That's what I'll do then :)
Apr 15, 2013 12:24
Cool. That's what I was thinking. Like, every now and then send the positions to make sure.
Apr 15, 2013 12:13
How is it normally done?
Apr 15, 2013 12:12
I'm sending the positions at the moment, but was thinking if I send the velocities it might reduce the amount of data sent
Apr 15, 2013 12:11
Sending the positions to the server and then sending them to everyone (except the person who sent them), or sending the velocities and having each player as a physics object?
Apr 15, 2013 12:11
Hey. Can anyone help me? Syncing up movements in a multiplayer game, which is better?
Jun 23, 2012 17:05
Is there a way I can do it?
Jun 23, 2012 17:05
Because it isn't actually in that position.
Jun 23, 2012 17:04
And it messes the collision up.
Jun 23, 2012 17:04
Using this pixel collision detection daniweb.com/software-development/csharp/code/422197/… I need to pass the rectangles of each sprite I want to check. One of the sprites moves (position) using a float though, and I can only create a rectangle using ints
Jun 23, 2012 15:04
Ohh okay. Thanks

Anyone know the difference between a "Windows Game (4.0)" or a "Windows Game Library (4.0)" ?
Jun 22, 2012 16:28
Or maybe a mixture of both ways :P
Jun 22, 2012 16:28
Okay. I'll try using different sprites
Jun 22, 2012 16:28
Ahh
Jun 22, 2012 16:26
How would you do it otherwise?
Jun 22, 2012 16:25
For example, when the character's leg is standing on a rock
Jun 22, 2012 16:25
?
Jun 22, 2012 16:25
Should I use multiple sprites to animate different parts of a character
Jun 22, 2012 01:09
I'll try that :)
Jun 22, 2012 01:09
Ahh okay. That makes sense. Thanks
Jun 22, 2012 00:31
Unless that's the way it's meant to be done?
Jun 22, 2012 00:31
Basically I trying to allow the player sprite to stand on other sprites, but I don't want to test for collision on each sprite.
Jun 22, 2012 00:30
Found some examples/tutorials online but they only show how to detect collision on certain sprites.
Jun 22, 2012 00:29
Hey. Using XNA to create a test game. Does anyone know how I would detect collision on any sprites?

Got it. Thanks @Arkamis
Feb 25, 2013 16:13
I assumed 4t*7t would be 11t because they are both t. Didn't think I had to multiply them.
Feb 25, 2013 16:12
Ohh, I see where I went wrong
Feb 25, 2013 16:08
Yes
Feb 25, 2013 16:08
7t. It's 3k over 7t
Feb 25, 2013 16:07
4t = (3k/7t) - 5k
Feb 25, 2013 16:07
Can't edit it now. Won't let me
Feb 25, 2013 16:01
Is that right?
Feb 25, 2013 16:01
Hm, I don't get it. What I did was remove the division by multiplying it with 4t. So it becomes 11t = 3k - 5k
Feb 25, 2013 15:37
oh right
Feb 25, 2013 15:36
Please don't tell me the answer if it's wrong :P
Feb 25, 2013 15:36
I worked it out to be k = 11t/-2
Feb 25, 2013 15:35
Hi. Anyone know if I've worked out this algebra correctly? I need to make k the subject in this equation: 4t = 3k/7t - 5k
Feb 25, 2013 00:58
Can anyone help me out with some simple algebra? If I have the equation 4t = 3k/7t - 5k would k = 11t/-2

Thanks! :)

Gradient of a line on a graph.
Jan 28, 2013 19:38
Hey. Could anyone explain how I would find the gradient of a straight line with the equation 25x + 5y = 3 without telling me the answer? :) I worked it out to be -5. Is that correct?
Jan 27, 2013 00:02
Thanks @OldJohn. That's what I thought :)
Jan 27, 2013 00:01
or would it be -2 ?
Jan 27, 2013 00:01
Hey. Would -2x - x = -3x ?
Dec 12, 2012 01:33
Hey. Is this the right room to ask a question about statistics? :)
