Offer to show them payslips form the last 3 years. That should be enough

Ask for a raise, and to be back paid all the overtime you've done, as part of this agreement. You are in the drivers seat now. Raise the point that you might leave (and be prepared to do so) if you dont get a considerably better deal.

Why cant you run these automation tests in the cloud or even on a jenkins server ?

Why do you need 16 cards? I am a very "international" person and I only have 5 cards. I thought that was many...

Stop behaving like a self entitled millenial with facebook, cnn, spotify and other non work related things plastering your monitor. Read news on your phone on the commute to / from work. Play music if you must, minimize spotify right after you select a song. It's not hard to behave professionally, or at least look like you are.

OP, if you wont pay for "Jetbrains" software then you deserve to have all your developers leave you. This is the 21st century... you cant expect them to work with the technogical equivalent of crayons. Add up the cost of a $200 per person Jetbrains license, and contrast that vs the recruiting and onboarding costs. If you cant see that, perhaps you shouldnt be recruiting IT people at all...

If a pull request isn't looked at within 2 days, just go ahead and merge it yourself.

Another important point is that a division by zero might trigger a stack trace that is visible to the attacker and then give them information about the system ("some fantastic" web server version a.b.c for example)

You're not achieving anything positive by lying. And, by not being open about it, you're discriminating against other people - and wasting their time. You should really post on the job ad "this position will be prioritised people of minority x and y and z", if that's what you are after. Despite your good intentions, anything other than being completely open is just being dishonest, isnt it?

Were you applying for a job completely out of your league, in terms of relevant skills and experience - were you completely honest?

@MichaelJ. sometimes yes. Good doctors and surgeons are often members of professional associations and do research in their spare time.

Does the code have tests with good test coverage? If not, ask him to write tests. That will test at least if he understands the code or not.

OP, you completely misunderstand so much. unit tests provide real value. the fact that you dont see that, or you dont like the hassle, doesnt mean unit tests are suddenly without value. if you were arguing unit tests versus integration tests - thats a discussion we can have. but your whole question here is opinionated, lacking in fact and really quite unknowledgable. Why dont you read up some good books on unit testing and come back with specific questions on how to improve your testing.

Hello this is your co-worker. I sit just 20 feet down the hall. I never thought you were the type of person to use stackoverflow? I mean... asking questions - what were you thinking?? I'm going to tell our boss.

Why? If you want to be professional use LinkedIn. No-one at works wants to see pictures of your pregnant cousin.
